The A.V. Club does a thing where they make a list of 25 songs and they bring in different artists to cover a song of their choice and cross it off the list. It can be a little uneven, but they bring a lot of really talented people on board.
We're in the middle of the 5th series right now. The latest one is Cheatahs covering Big Country. I like it, I wasn't really feeling the singing but it felt like a fairly sincere cover that genuinely rocked.
