Oh goddammit.
What matters in this life is much more than winning for ourselves. What really matters is helping others win, too. - F. Rogers.Chrys and Elle's glance at each other in the latest update was pretty badass.
Oh! This'll be useful to help remind me to check it. I've been enjoying it so far.
I don't think Harden would actually be effective. But then again, it always worked 10 times better in the Anime.
The problem is that Rock Tomb is doing 4x damage, right? (6x with STAB) Even with a full 6 layers of Harden up, you'll only be getting 3x damage reduction, and it won't help against unlucky crits anyway.

Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayReality Is Unrealistic then, I guess, because this is actually how I beat Brock in the monotype playthrough this is based on. Full Harden stacks gave my Elle enough defense to survive not one, but two Rock Tombs during our rematch, after being one-shot by it in our first battle.

No, just added shading.

Also, if you're looking for a behind the scenes look: Chrys' 25 Essential Expressions.
Also also, have you guys seen the leaked image of Mega Slowbro? I had to.

So what do you use to draw the comic?
Edit: In panel 5, the placement of the hands makes it look like she's grabbing Brock's finger. You should probably rearrange it or make the badge visible.

Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayGimp 2.8, although I'm about to give Fire Alpaca a try.
What matters in this life is much more than winning for ourselves. What really matters is helping others win, too. - F. Rogers. So you draw it on the computer? Do you use a mouse or tablet?
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayVis Tablet.
What matters in this life is much more than winning for ourselves. What really matters is helping others win, too. - F. Rogers. It's back, and now with its very own shiny new tumblr!
What matters in this life is much more than winning for ourselves. What really matters is helping others win, too. - F. Rogers.Excellent! I was just talking about pokemon. Good to see it back.
I must admit, in my headcanon, the gyms don't actually have tiers and that those living in the world can challenge them in any order they want, with the gym leader choosing which pokemon to use based on the number of badges the challenger has so far. Still, it's your comic.
That's probably closer to what happens for realsies in-universe. But games gotta have that difficulty curve, you know?

This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...That was actually kind of my original interpretation, but it's contradicted by the games given that gym leaders' teams are always the same regardless of how many badges you have when you face them. In R/B/Y for example, Surge, Erika, Sabrina, and Koga can be challenged in any order, but their teams will still be the same regardless.
However, you might notice that Brock specified that Cerulean is the second tier gym "this year."

It's weird, because the game tries to have a difficulty curve and then didn't bother making sure you'd actually follow the curve. I guess having nonlinearity is nice though.
The effect is in full force in gen 2 though where suddenly the Elite Four is actually weaker than the Kanto Gym leaders.

Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's Play
I figured I'd make a thread for Bugged Run to avoid us going off-topic by discussing it there in some other threads. Of course, I hope I didn't jinx us by saying that. As another cool fact, it's made by our very own Wryte.
And hopefully having this thread on my watchlist means that when someone posts, I'll remember to read comics the day they come out instead of forgetting for a week.
