Yes, it overlaps. A casting gag is a type of actor allusion. Or, as we have a tendency to say, a casting gag is a sub-trope of actor allusion or: an actor allusion is a super-trope.

Despite the fact, that Casting Gag has not yet reaches the status of Trivia (you might want to vote on it here
), the definition for Casting Gag differs on both pages. The one given on Casting Gag creates a considerable overlap with Actor Allusion.
