It is like how in the 70s the 50s were big and that is because the children that grew up in the 50s were in charge in the 70s so they put in references and had shows and movies take place than. In the 80s the 60s were big.
The reason the 80s and 90s are big is because the creators of those cartoons grew up in the 80s and 90s and are now making shows filled with references to stuff that they knew and loved when they were growing up.
I think it is great because I also grew up in the late 80s and 90s.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre Adventure

So..80s and 90s references in cartoons.. Almost Every cartoon now has them. Is it the equivalent to how it was in 70s where 50s references were big, or are they just there for the creator's amusement? Majotrty of these creators are very young, so I have a feeling they were influence by them..? So they want to show the audience how cool and witty they are by referencing He-Man and video games.
your thoughts?
