More likely you're thinking of Hercules Thelegendary Journeys with Kevin Sorbo.
I've gained an appreciation for this show. I watched it in my youth, and I still catch it on Canada's Teletoon Retro.
Suffering Psyche!!!!
One Strip! One Strip!Probably the best looking realistic retro cartoon imo. Next to Johnny Quest maybe.

Supports cartoons being cartoony!I actually kind of enjoy this one. Some people say it's So Bad, It's Good, but heck, I enjoy it in the same way I enjoy a lot of pre-90s action toons: as simple, straight adventure.
That, plus the theme song is pretty catchy.
Hercules, hero of song and story,
Hercules, winner of ancient glory...

"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."Agreed on the theme song.
"You can run, but you can't hide from the Buzzinator!"
I just saw some episodes for this cartoon and I think that it's alright, albeit too self-contained and formulaic. What do you think about this cartoon and why?
"You can run, but you can't hide from the Buzzinator!"
