Every case outside of Africa, apart from those evacuated in isolation cause they already knew they had it, has been a scare.
Politics is the skilled use of blunt objects.A British national was announced to be positive with ebola.
A WHO worker was also infected with ebola. Both are from CNN broadcasts as they came out.
"Exit muna si Polgas. Ang kailangan dito ay si Dobermaxx!"Also, the outbreak in Congo was confirmed to be Ebola, according to their health minister, but it is apparently unrelated to the West African outbreak.
It was previously labelled as an outbreak of haemorrhagic gastroenteritis by the WHO, and they haven't commented on confirming the diagnosis of Ebola yet.

Not a substitute for a formal medical consultation.Interesting. Another ebolavirus species?
Ebola: British man begins treatment in London hospital
Mr Pooley was flown to RAF Northolt in a specially-equipped military aircraft on Sunday and taken under police escort to Hampstead's Royal Free Hospital.
He volunteered to go to west Africa to care for victims of the Ebola outbreak which has killed almost 1,500 people. It is the first confirmed case of a Briton contracting the virus during the current outbreak.
Mr Pooley was flown out of Sierra Leone's main airport in Lungi, in an RAF C-17 transport aircraft. He will be treated in a specialist isolation unit for patients with highly infectious disease, the only one of its kind in Europe. A special tent ensures medical staff can interact with the patient but are separated by plastic and rubber.
And the usual mouth-breathers will be going "why is he coming here?!"
Schild und Schwert der ParteiShip him to Sealand for quarantine
Oh really when?London's trying to assure the public that an outbreak is impossible to take place with the measures taken.
Reports are in that one of the doctors in Liberia has passed away despite having the experimental vaccine.

Japan has their version of an experimental drug ready
They're waiting for WHO to approve it's use widespread however they have already said that if an individual asks for it, they'll give it to them without WHO's approval. So long as conscious consent is acquired.
"Psssh. Even if you could catch a miracle on a picture any person would probably delete it to make space for more porn." - Aszur...Hasn't it been a month since that doctor passed away, and isn't he from Sierra Leone? This is the Liberian doctor who just passed.

Not a substitute for a formal medical consultation.Ebola's contribution to darkening Africa
A really interesting piece discussing Ebola's possible effect in the continuing rebuilding and rebranding of Africa and the various peoples that live there.
"Psssh. Even if you could catch a miracle on a picture any person would probably delete it to make space for more porn." - AszurWHO says it needs $430 million dollars to end Ebola epidemic
To put that in context, the Ice Bucket Challenge from July 29 to August 25 has raised $79.7 million dollars.
Aprilla and I were just talking about this last night. I hate ALS. I had to watch my grandfather I loved dearly die from ALS and it is a horrible disease. But Africa is on fire now. It is spreading and killing faster than ALS.
I guess dead brown people aren't sexy enough to merit people dumping water and ice on themselves over.
Sorry, I'm just really bitter over the conscious disconnect.
"Psssh. Even if you could catch a miracle on a picture any person would probably delete it to make space for more porn." - AszurYou aren't going to come up with half a billion dollars with a charity drive, even a highly successful one like the Ice Bucket Challenge is still well short of that. This is going to require countries giving substantial amounts of aid, and it's in their interest to do so. Even if Ebola never spreads and/or mutates to the point that it becomes a threat to the Developed World it is still destabilizing an already volatile region. We don't need even more failed states (or worsening the ones that already are failed) in Africa.
Politics is the skilled use of blunt objects.I'm not expecting a half a billion in a week. I'm saying it's depressing that a quarky meme is raising more money in a month than a very serious threat that is right there and will only get worse without some substantial help.
I've posted articles documenting how America has cut funding to lead research centers who have been working on the Ebola virus and possible medications. I've posted various charities that have tried to get in on the ground and bring in support. This isn't something new, hence my frustration.

Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite. So do we panic or?
Oh really when?Dakar is a major transport hub for the region. Also means it will probably get into Guinea-Bissau and probably The Gambia as well. If Mauritanian and Malian authorities act quickly enough, they may be able to stem the flow.
Final Fantasy, Foreign Policy, and Bollywood. Helluva combo, that...A young girl in Canada has tested negative for Ebola, after falling ill after returning from Sierra Leone.
Politics is the skilled use of blunt objects. There are a number of hubs I'd worry about. Dakar is one of the biggies, yes.
One of the often overlooked ones would be Lomé in Togo. Well, any of the Togolese cities, really. <_< They've got extensive connections to most ports and places in Western and Central Africa and few issues even reaching as far afield as Somalia.
Togo just isn't usually on anybody else's shit-list. Worse: there's a healthy bushmeat industry there, too. That imports with few questions asked. -_- A lot of Togo's imports and exports are "few questions asked". <_<

Why we need volunteers for the first human Ebola trials
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.Nigeria's Ebola outbreak spreads
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.Sad thing is, if its anything like the Polio outbreak in Pakistan, the Ebola outbreak in Nigeria will be made worse by Boko Haram in one way or another, if it ever spreads north.

It's now been confirmed not to be Ebola. Second Irish Ebola scare now, and both have been confirmed as false.
