Hello, everybody~!
But yeah, how's everyone doing? I hope we're more of a chatty bunch here.
"I do not approve of the fact that my favorite quotes are too long for this character limit." - MeWell it's bloody early here amd I'm off to swim at the lap pool but otherwise just dandy. Haha.
This should be great fun... oh, if I say something too offensive just let me know (swears/insults are treated differently here).
“Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?”I'm most likely going to have my profile ready by tomorrow (mostly because I'm waiting for my new handle to be allowed to post on the forums), but in the meantime, I've been stuck look at the same cute falcon◊ for a while now. For research purposes, of course. >.>
"I do not approve of the fact that my favorite quotes are too long for this character limit." - MeNaaaw, both cute and potentially deadly.
“Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?”Well, are the cyborgs blatantly robotic (that would probably be a major turn off to the public if so) and does Sinanima have any means of continuing the human race (as in children)? In addition, couldn't a cyborg still get infected because of their organic brain? Plus, what would they even do with all those brainless bodies? If they're just making cyborgs into their puppets, I would figure Sinanima themselves would want to stay human. That and they probably could jam a mechanical brain into those human bodies to keep them going. Makes more sense than just incinerating the bodies. Though, is there an age limit on who they'll make a cyborg?
"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."I don't think the virus would be very likely to enter the brain due to the cybernetic casing. And if it did it might not directly infect brain tissue (i.e. it might need other cells to multiply or such) or have such a pronounced effect. Hmm.
“Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?”Well, if they don't want those bodies, we could certainly make a feast out of them.
But anyway, I do wonder how the virus spreads. Is it an airborne thing, something in the water, passed through bodily fluids..? Or is that one of those things we have to figure out in order to get a possible cure?

"I do not approve of the fact that my favorite quotes are too long for this character limit." - MeWell, as I said in my signup post, my character can absorb skills her victims have memorized. As a solution to the whole "zombies don't think problem", I was figuring she'd already have stolen some skills like basic shooting, some martial arts, stuff like that. Plus, the key thing about the cyborgs is the phrase organic brain. As long as her victim has a normally functioning organic brain, her powers will work. If it's a synthetic brain or an undead organic brain, she's basically Batman sans utility belt.

Forward, boys! For God's sake, forward! So I'm guessing she can access their memories through the metal, then? Cool beans, I think as long as your happy with your powers you'll be right.
Any ideas on when we'll be starting, then?

“Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?”To answer some questions: the cyborgs are basically robots with human brains in them. Considering the virus is airborne, waterborne, and can spread through any sort of bodily fluid (so if you're bitten or scratched, or even have a tiny open cut near a zombie, well, see ya) their isn't much of a choice besides 'become a cyborg' or 'die'. Especially since Sinanima has quarantined several cities under forcefield-domes, so running away isn't even an option.
The leftover bodies from the Cyber Initiative are used for a simple purpose: bait. Draw a lot of infected into one area looking for new hosts, then torch them all.
As for continuing the human race, Sinanima's stance is thus: "Technological improvement is far, far faster than evolution. Why continue on with the humdrum of passing on your traditions to children 'til the end of time when you could simply live forever? No longer will scientists leave their work to be completed by those who come after them, nor will beloved idols leave us before their time. Undergo Cyberization(TM), and you too can be part of the Last Generation(R)."
Also, we'll be starting sometime this weekend. Probably Saturday.

What is so amusing about this? Why do you take lives? How can you forget?Has anyone read Ex-Heroes because this reminds me of the series?

It comes. The corrupter comes. Don't let it touch the tower lest all reality crumble. Its harder for a old mind to accept or want changes, and being immortal robots would lose its novelty eventually. So either way humanity is screwed: Become biological horrors that need to perpetually feed, or become lifeless robots doomed to eternal boredom. Though I'm mildly disappointed in Sinanima, they could double their slave workforce by jamming robot brains into the corpses.
"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."Okay, there's a possibility that my sis will join in at some point too. Crossing my fingers.
I'd imagine that with "no emotions," that would also nix boredom and the need for variety in life… Which also means humanity's screwed, but probably in a different way.
"I do not approve of the fact that my favorite quotes are too long for this character limit." - MeAnyway, if I can get myself approved, this'll be the new handle I'll be using for this RP.
Just thought of something: how many non=infected survivors are running around?
Forward, boys! For God's sake, forward!By the way, if we end up starting on Monday, then I'm most likely not gonna be here for the beginning of the RP, on account of me traveling for most of the day to South Dakota.
It's already Monday here, haha. I have university starting back up in a week, so may posting may be reduced in frequency depending on my workload.
“Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?”Yeah, I have two essays due Tuesday (summer term was not as laid-back as I thought it'd be) so this probably won't start until Tuesday night-ish. Sorry all.
What is so amusing about this? Why do you take lives? How can you forget? It's cool, I understand. In the meant time I suppose we can discuss characters/plot/villains.
“Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?”Well, Hal would probably go full psycho if he had any reason to believe something bad happened to his sister. He'll probably go a bit crazy trying to fix her if she got cyborgized, but that's really not a route I want to explore. Besides that, I suppose he'll have a tendency of ramming his palm into someone's face to eat/carve out their eyes.
"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."Ooh, sounds awesome. I'm pretty sure Sparky would go homicidal if she enough electricity, possibly towards the other test subjects.
“Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?”Ren might be a little scared of some of our bigger individuals. And of the people that got extra mouths.
Adriana will never go out alone and prefers to have a gun in her hands, knowing full well that her powers are useless against the undead. Her shooting and martial arts skills are both best described as "competent hobbyist", but she'll be best served as ranged support and will only close in for hand-to-hand against the cyborgs she can exploit. In short, she knows her role and is comfortable being Robin to someone else's Batman.
Forward, boys! For God's sake, forward!Yeah, my initial idea for Ren had him mostly as the scout type who just happened to have some claws on him. (Hopefully, those drones are slower and less agile.)
(EDIT: BTW, I just remembered I'm stuck on mobile, which means my old account. Apologies.)
