I haven't played XCOM, but I thought you guys would like this.
Haven't played XCOM either although I did have a friend who was really into it. I may have to check that out, it looks interesting.
How are you, gentlemen? All your base are belong to us. You are on the way to destruction.Hey guys, sorry for the weirdly short, speech-heavy scene, but if there's nothing you all want to do on the way back, I can timeskip us onto the Menae with my next post.
It's been fun. That's fine by me.
Also I keep reading this title as Meme Ascendant and then going to browse ME memes >__>

How are you, gentlemen? All your base are belong to us. You are on the way to destruction.Yeah if no one else is going to post then might as well timeskip.
Savant, for my post, the equipment I had in mind was mostly the sort of easily portable (for a given value of "easily") set-up with maybe two/three custom-built laptops, multiple screens, maybe a desktop-like hub. A sort of "semi-instant command center" thing that he built to fit his needs. Like a minor version of Liara's room in ME 3. If this isn't cool, that's fine, but it's sort-of an idea I had.
Works for me. I'm not sure how much he'll be able to bring with him on missions, but assume that whatever you guys need (within reason) and certainly everything your characters want to bring along can find space on the ship.
It's been fun.Yeah, mission equipment in terms of computers is probably just omni-tools, if only for portability. Him having a command center on the ship just seemed to fit.
This thread sure is quiet. Anyone want to use it to discuss... uh... well... okay I don't know.
Anyone got ideas for how they'll decorate their bunks with regarding this? Or a spare storage room? Actually what are the "crew quarters" going to be like. Knowing that would make easier to discuss. Like individual rooms, a cot in a big barracks, or are there, conveniently-enough given our gender distribution, rooms that have three bunks?
Also what sort of fish do you think are in the Presidium lake?
None.
Don't you remember the ME 2 quest with the Krogans?
Hm... let's say that there are two rows of bunk rooms up on the crew deck (one on either side of the central aisle), each divided into three-bunk rooms for the specialists and... a vague number of bunks for the rest of the crew.
It's been fun.Spoilsport. Don't you want to dare to DREAM?
Yes, yes, excellent, the NPCs shall bear the burden
I dream.
Just not in public.
Come to think of it I don't remember actually seeing bunks for your squad anywhere on the Normandy during the games. They had their favored spots where they would hang out but there didn't seem to be anywhere for them to retire to....
Maybe they were just too awesome for sleep. Although I remember reading that salarians really do only need like 1 hour of sleep per day, or something like that.
How are you, gentlemen? All your base are belong to us. You are on the way to destruction. They had crew rooms with a lot of bunks next to the restrooms, IIRC.
Yeah, the regular crew have bunk rooms. I think Vega has a bunk down in the armory, Liara sleeps in her command center... I don't have many of the other crewmembers yet, so I can't check.
It's been fun.Alright, since I've had a few questions on the armory - to make things simple, the guns you're bringing with you should be more than sufficient. They're yours - customized if you've customized them, familiar to you, probably more powerful. The Menae stocks standardized, stock weapons for its crew; in general, unless it's a weapon class you don't already have (like Starizea picking up a shotgun) assume that in all senses anything the Menae carries is a downgrade for you.
It's been fun.I believe that was mainly chitchat, rather than all of us looking for loot and upgrades already
I didn't really see this as an RP where there would be very much "loot" anyways. My character might modify the capabilities of her drones depending on what they're up against, but in terms of her abilities getting flat-out more powerful, I didn't imagine much of that going on, if any at all.
How are you, gentlemen? All your base are belong to us. You are on the way to destruction.Yo Red, I think it's about time to do another timeskip.
Yea, this is just filler, don't wait to move the plot ahead on that account. IMO, at least.
How are you, gentlemen? All your base are belong to us. You are on the way to destruction.Though with that said, it certainly wouldn't hurt if you guys tried having your characters interact with everyone else instead of lurking.
Or at least put more effort into nagging Plum on Skype until he posts.

Then what's the problem? You're free to break off without waiting for him and can talk to someone who actually wants to post, then.
This is the discussion thread for Menae Ascendant, a Mass Effect commando roleplay. All questions, comments, suggestions, and out-of-character chat can go here. =)
