Right. The RP can probably start as soon as I figure out a better name for the thread than just "Guild Wars 2 RP", and for now, this discussion thread exists so that people can figure out preliminary stuff about their characters/miscellaneous other things.

One fairly important piece of information: we were going to ignore the waypoint game mechanic, which basically lets you teleport to certain points on the map from any other point for a small fee. Unfortunately, that mechanic turned out to be important to the plot of the actual story, so instead of pretending waypoints don't exist, we're going to pretend they work slightly differently than they actually do.

You can only teleport to a waypoint from another waypoint, you can only carry a certain amount of material while doing so, and you can only teleport to waypoints within a certain radius. And you have to pay each time. So technically, they're still a fast mode of travel if you don't mind travelling light, but they also end up being quite expensive if you keep hopping from waypoint to waypoint to cover a large amount of distance. Also, you can't teleport to a waypoint from the middle of nowhere.

Yeah, that sounds like a reasonable compromise.

Anyway, looking at the roster, Shaeli is going to have to get a neck brace or something. Too many damn giants in this party
