Mine has been on the curbside and in basements. Like a solid third of the furniture and clothing in my house is actually stolen.
Oh really when?Ah, inheritance. Now I get why some middle-class and working-class people really want a bigger inheritance tax.
Is property (houses, farms/fields, etc.) a big denominator in the class structure?

This is where it gets even odder, because there's so many loopholes to stop that, it gets silly. It's also actually a sign of being old money that most of what you have isn't in liquid assets, but in land or similar. All a bigger inheritance tax would do is entrench the aristocracy we have now even more, and throw out lots of those who did work their way up.
"Did you expect somebody else?"Most middle class people are against an inheritance tax, even though most proposals only begin at £1m.
Schild und Schwert der ParteiNow I see why, say, some Scottish lords were very keen on the No side in the Scottish referendum.
Or things like gentrification being very common.
Possibly because they fear that their hard (or "hard", depending on one's perspective) earned money might be taken away from them?

The system of land ownership in Scotland is absolutely scandalous.
Schild und Schwert der ParteiSorry Ach. I absolutely understood what you meant with the furniture thing without even reading the spoilers. It is even a trope!
It has always been the prerogative of children and half-wits to point out that the emperor has no clothesThen hopefully you got what I meant with my pagebottomer on the last page.
"Did you expect somebody else?"You are either a sadistically kinky person or you are just refering to the time they came from! perhaps Industrial vs Medieval style of things?
Did I get it right?
It has always been the prerogative of children and half-wits to point out that the emperor has no clothesThe latter - and the fact that my family were involved in the slave trade quite a bit, as merchants.
"Did you expect somebody else?"The more progressive sorts became dedicated abolitionists and sought to redeem themselves that way.
"Did you expect somebody else?"That does sound good
It has always been the prerogative of children and half-wits to point out that the emperor has no clothesThe class system is weird. Because while it is incredibly a big part of social fabric, its not actually as relevant as it once was. A big part of the class system is your perception of it. If I was a trademan who made a fair bit of money, I might see myself as working-class.
But I, even though I am a not-very-affluent young adult, still consider myself middle-class without many of the financial trappings of it.
Merry Polandball Christmas, British tropers.
D'aww. Cornwall with Wales <3
"Did you expect somebody else?"Wow, Wales really misses New Zealand.
"We are just like Irregular Data. And that applies to you too, Ri CO. And as for you, Player... your job is to correct Irregular Data."
I...don't think I want to know where your furniture has been.
I like to keep my audience riveted.
