Well when another species eats your own it's kinda hard not to fear and hate them. Especially when they don't look different, age, and die just like them. Makes them more human and thus more terrifying.

And it has been said that a number of people in CCG have been orphans who had their families killed by ghouls and others who are mutilated by Ghouls and saw their coworkers they were attached die gruesome deaths. Cycle of Revenge along with the natural fear of beings who have to eat them to survive on top of it.

I think this says more about how decent the Tsukiyama family is, with Shuu taking a turn for the worse in the past until he developed his obsession and eventual friendship with Kaneki that changed him.

Yeah I know though its just the line between justified revenge against the creatures that killed your family & blatant sadism & looking just for an excuse to kill is just getting hard to differentiate between these people. Its somewhat harder now to tell who's truly sympathetic & who's a real asshole now. Besides really most of the investigators are motivated more by sadism anyway, look at Ihei right now. Damn that smile she showed, gave me the chills.

Stuff like this chapter is why I'm hoping that Chie is recording every bit of what's going on and planning to release it to everybody.

Like I said before. I'm just glad that CCG is being shown to be evil pieces of shit outside of a few individuals. It would be hard to go back to the ghoul side (which is pretty much inevitable) if they were shown any less morally black.

Personally I like me some Grey-and-Gray Morality, and I feel like the CCG side could have done with more sympathetic individuals...though in terms of pure numbers, I think I'm having the impression that the assholes:decent people ratio is in fact not too different between the ghouls and the CCG. It's just that the series gives more focus to the ghoul side and hence invokes more empathy for their side....

Sadly, the CCG would probably have been annihilated by the nastier ghouls by now if they didn't recruit some of their more cruel and uncompromising members. Those are the ones less likely to hesitate in life or death situations and make the most pragmatic decisions when the shit hits the fan.

Gray and Grey morality is absolutely in effect but I feel like if they made CCG more likable beyond a handful of characters it'd make it difficult to transition back to the ghoul side of things.

The CCG has plenty of likable characters, the Qs, Hirako and his (now Kuramoto's) squad, Juuzou and his squad, Akira, Arima, Kuroiwa Iwao, the director, Marude, Fura etc.

It's just that they've also got a number of violent psychopaths in the ranks and the organisation as a whole is corrupt.

Gray & Gray morality as they say. Hopefully Chie records all this shit & Amon shows himself cause shits gonna be fun as fucking hell.

Yeah Noro was definitely someone Eto had given a part of herself too after seeing Kanae's new mask. I can only imagine the horror beneath it.

Hes also got a new mask apparently, same big-ass grin but with a shit ton of tiny eyes all over.

Shit this is only going to end fucking horribly unless someone like Amon saves the day.

Oh god, Matsumae. That moment when Tsukiyama asks why she's not bothered to wear her mask...(For a relatively minor new character she's become fairly interesting. "Knight of Tsukiyama", huh? I hope she makes it out somehow, but she's raising deathflags everywhere.)

And wow, Sasaki the ninja. (Kaneki-man, Kaneki-man, does whatever a Kaneki Ken...)

Koori's decision to send Sasaki to scout the roof seems rather dubious - you're giving him alone time with a ghoul he used to be familiar with? Though that's probably with the benefit of reader insight, Koori himself probably doesn't know specifically which ghouls Kaneki has previously been involved with. (Especially if the Tsukiyama family has apparently managed to conceal the existence of Shuu so far.) I really wonder how this meeting will go...

The CCG doesn't know that they used to be friends, they aren't even sure of the gender of Mirumo's child.

EDIT: Also does anyone know where it's said that Haise is on rc suppressants constantly rather than just getting dosed when his kagune goes out of control? I keep seeing it pop up everywhere.

Okay yeah. The implications of what Eto did to Kanae are pretty terrifying. I think we might of just discovered how Noro came to be...

For all we know he could of just been another strong ghoul opposing Eto. And then she got her hands on him and did this to him....

Assuming that's true, that still leaves the question of why Noro got a card that basically said that Noro is somebody's mother figure in the trump deck.

AFAIK, this is Fanon, just like the claim that Arima's hair turned white because of "bad genes".
