Welp, looks like we're headed into the next action arc, after the previous calm period. In some ways, an open attack like this opens up opportunities for Urie&co, if they live to speak about it. Though Furuta probably has an advantage in the subsequent information manipulation...

The attack on the Goat hideout worries me more though. Touka's been deathflagged hard...

Volume 12 omakes have arrived!

The profile this time is poor Yoriko.

Omakes:

• Touka and Kaneki "marry" by biting each other. Afterwards, Kaneki panics and goes to beg Amon for a divorce.
• Yomo's drunken party antics, and regret the next day.
• Nishiki trolls Kaneki by drawing things on his face, instead of the wedding markings.
• Various running speeds: Nimu-dash is the slowest, KING DASH is the fastest
• Shinsanpei runs into Urie at the gym, and tells him he isn't the only one that can "unleash the mag". Urie is just plain confused.
• Saiko's comic: Conan-style Shinsanpei vs Hulk Urie.
• Higemaru fears that Shinsanpei has been making his character stand out too much lately. Even though he got his arms ripped off by Donato, he can't compete against Ero-body and Auntcon. Saiko tells him he has no redeeming value and suggests he get a Rocket Punch.
• Saiko and Higemaru visit Yoriko, and request she make them rocket-shaped bread for his rocket punch. She tells Takeomi that being an investigator sounds like fun.
• Naki asks Miza where babies come from. She starts bleeding from her nose and offers to show him......so he runs off to go invite Shousei and Hooguro before she can stop him.
• Naki goes to talk to Tsukiyama about how Miza got mad at him. He considers asking the King to show him — Tsukiyama is like STOP RIGHT THERE. And promises to teach him, but first he needs some clay balls.
• Hanbee worries about Juuzou talking about becoming a ghoul. The others in the squad tell Hanbee they'd kill him too.
• Furuta, Kaneki, and Ayato are not ashamed of their lame phrases~
• Papa Kuroiwa building the house for his kids. Yoriko chats with him, and imagines how he could probably survive falling off a 20 story building.
• Papa Kuroiwa asks to try some of her home-cooked bread.
• There's also an untranslated omake about Old Man Ayato on his expedition to the underground city.

Chapter spoilers are leaking now. Scanlators have announced that the publisher has managed to clamp down on the early leaks, so we will probably be getting the chapter around Monday - Wednesday from now on.

• Urie and Kuroiwa vs Roma and Shikorae.
• Furuta refers to Shikorae by his real name, Rio. Glad they stopped beating around the bush with that.
• Roma and Shikorae get their asses handed to them, but then Urie is stabbed from behind.
• Touka, Yomo, White Suits, and Blades vs Oggai.
• Kaneki has a bad feeling and worries something is wrong back home.
• Mutsuki and Shinsanpei are there. Mutsuki (?) releases the Oggai's frames, causing them to call Frame Out and start screaming.

Oggai creepy intensifies. Mutsuki's building them a Theme Park on the far side of the Moral Event Horizon.

Mutsuki's been in his own personal tunnel of love on the far side of the moral event horizon for awhile now so nothing about this surprises me.

Never thought Mutsuki would be The Dragon of Tokyo Ghoul.

Well, evil minion at the very least.

But yeah, never would have expected prior to Rushima that Mutsuki would end up gleefully kicking puppies and helping ruin everything.

While I'm glad Kaneki didn't leave home unguarded, I am so afraid for pretty much everyone there. I'm not worried for Touka, because using her as bait and executing her alongside Yoriko seems like the kind of drama Furuta is looking for.

But everyone else is on the chopping block, potentially.

So it seems Mondays are going to be spoiler day from here on out?

• Flashback to the Cochlea breakout. Roma listens to Kijima torturing and tormenting Rio.
• By the time the breakout occurred, Rio had already gone mad from the torture and could only cry for his brother.
• Tatara attacks Roma, but Eto ultimately lets her go.
• Uta and Roma chatting, while he cuts and styles her hair for her.
• Roma is the one that stabbed Urie. She reveals her true nature, forming a massive Clown body around herself. She is actually an SSS-rated Ghoul, and the founder of the Clowns. She was defeated and imprisoned by Tsuneyoshi Washuu in the past.
• She is actually 51 years old and Roma Hoito is merely one of her many, many aliases.
• Urie is smashed into a wall, and badly injured. Kuroiwa stands between him and Roma.
• Oggai going crazy, and killing ghouls. Mutsuki gives them orders, and notices Touka among the gathered ghouls. Some members of the White Suits and Blades try to attack, but Mutsuki and Aura kill them.
• Yomo takes Touka aside, and convinces her to run away instead of fighting.
• Touka runs into Hajime in the hallways.

Furuta, Mutsuki, and now Roma? Ishida really loves pulling out unexpected antagonists...

Weird. Seems to be gone from the usual site now.

Chapter is out. Everyone is STILL going to die I think.

Is it just me, or is it a really bad idea to swallow a combatant whole? I doubt a kagune-monster has digestive juices, after all. You'd think Little Miss 51 Years Old would actually be smart, even if it's just due to having had more experience.

And she does pay for it. Sic transit Roma. Unfortunately, Furuta takes Iwao in return. And then takes a bullet to the head.

Well so long Roma, ya fucking deserved it for your sheer dumbassery. I hope you rot in Hell, ya fucking nihilistic bitch.

Poor Iwao though at least Furuta got shot in the head & I wonder who pulled the trigger.

Eh. Futura wouldn't be the first Washuu to get over a bullet to the head.

I'm thinking maybe it's Juuzou who shot Furuta.

I mean, yeah, but this isn't 'Furuta's dead now', this is 'somebody else showed up to help Urie and Furuta's being forced to join the fray personally'.

Although a part of me would love it if Furuta died this anticlimactically.

I feel like Roma got taken out too easily here...

And on the other hand, Urie spent way too long lingering around holding Kuroiwa when Furuta was still right there in the room. I mean, they haven't really seen signs of how dangerous Furuta really is in a fight, but he shouldn't have expected Furuta to just hang around while he fusses over Kuroiwa.

And I think Ishida just apologized for last week.

• Marude shows up with a team, who proceed to shoot Furuta full of lead.
• Furuta attacks with a massive kagune......so Marude whips out a BAZOOKA and blows it up.
• Furuta is driven off, leaping out the window. But Matsuri shows up with a katana between his teeth, and attacks him mid-air. Furuta uses his kagune to swing to another building and escapes.
• Matsuri gets back into the office, and joins the others. He now has a large scar down his forehead from getting sword'd in the head.
• Kuroiwa is still hanging on long enough to see Marude one more time, and then dies in Urie's arms.
• Scarecrow appears, holding up a sign to introduce himself: "I am Hideyoshi Nagachika. Lend me your strength, Urie.”
