Is Kaneki really going to end up meeting up with Mutsuki? Please no. :/

Why the hell does Furuta have the authority to do stuff like this? Shouldn't there be, like, judges and politicians and whatnot deciding what appropriate sentences are? Giving the people who enforce the laws authority over sentences strikes me an absolutely terrible idea.

Though, really, that applies to a lot of Furuta's shenanigans. There appears to be a downright alarming lack of oversight for CCG, considering it's an institution with the authority to just kill people out of nowhere.

I think there's a court involved, but more or less the head of the CCG gets to rubber stamp and approve of the sentence.

But let's be fair, the courts that handle the Countermeasure laws are probably 100% controlled by V.

I think the CCG has enacted martial law.

I believe its supposed to show how desperate things have become that the Doves have effectively become Templar-Judge's & how Furuta has all the power due to taking advantage of peoples fears, desperation & hatred.

This is Japan. You are guilty the moment you are taken by them and the rest is convincing you to agree, CCG probably doesn't even gave Cameras installed yet, and if they do it still doesn't stop it.

• Back to the underground city with Ayato's group.
• They talk with a trio of children, who seem to be somewhat feral — they have difficulty speaking and don't even know what ghouls are.
• The underground city was destroyed by "Nagaraja", and there's a giant kagune-root thing spread throughout.
• This may relate to Furuta's "dragon", as Nagaraja = King of Snakes. Washuu = Vasuki, King of Snakes. Related to mythology about snakes becoming dragons.
• Nishiki discusses genetics and ghoul biology with Kaneki.
• Touka and Kaneki talk.

So basically as most people expected, Kaneki has realized that he is living on borrowed time now because the human cells can only multiply so many times.

Ayato's excursion is getting more and more interesting, especially since they're running into ghouls who have never been to the surface.

Toucan admits to Kaneki that she's pregnant, but is nervous if she can actually deliver the baby. The part that I both liked and dread is that the two basically wordlessly agreed to leave Yoriko to her fate.

The ghoul wedding was cute.

Honestly, I feel like them leaving Yoriko is perhaps the better option in the story. Because now the ball is entirely in the human side's court. Now it becomes a matter of whether the Kuroiwas and their friends will simply sit back and obediently let her be executed......or rebel against an obvious farce and save her.

Also, the next volume cover was revealed and it's Saiko. The Quinx covers are the Monkey Morality Pose with Speak no Evil (Urie), See no Evil (Mutsuki), and Hear no Evil (Saiko). And apparently in some versions, there's a fourth monkey that is "Do no Evil", often called Shirazu.

Ishida is just amazing like that. He's great at symbolism.

Thing with Yoriko too which is what I think Kaneki and Touka may have realized is they'd literally be doing more harm than good trying to go on a suicide mission to rescue her. Because even if they were to somehow survive and rescue her, her normal life as a human would be effectively over. Like, it's cruel and tragic, but they got to leave her.

If anything Hide and Yoriko both being dead because of their connections to Touka and Kaneki ends up just furthering the fact that Ghouls really can't coexist with humans and will die regardless. In the end just being in the life of one will lead to tragedy. Even if they don't it's pretty signaling a tragedy will happen and their kid will probably be orphaned or abandoned regardless.

Basically suffering awaits no matter the choice

As long as V and the Washuu's exist yeah.

Even without them there will still be ghouls as a whole that will nonchalantly eat humans and relish in it.

Even Toukas mom admitted she never once thought about the people she ate until she was pregnant with her kids in that flashback with her.

And there are plenty of ghouls who relish in suffering, especially Kanekis. One of which is working with V and Washuu aka the Clowns.

Dunno Fillmore Graves has some good ideas for human and zombie coexistance that could work for Ghouls too?

Ah, I love that show so much.

I mean, the obvious solution involves all the extra flesh that is already around. Ikuma's mother fed him with hospital scraps, which are just destroyed anyway. But humans have a taboo against feeding their dead or lost flesh to ghouls, soo....

Ultimately, I think the solution lies in Science! In them figuring out the whole "enzyme issue" that's been mentioned a few times in the series. Or using the current technology we have for producing artificial tissue with the RC cells boosted to keep ghouls fed.

And then create a new CCG-type organization that is ghouls and humans cooperating to deal with violent criminals.

Which will be revealed to be run by the Clowns.

They always have the last laugh.

Honestly I still suspect Ghouls to be actually some crazy Super-Soldier project from the Washuu past.

Cause a species that can only feed on *one* prey animal makes no sense from a biology point.

Not likely. Ghouls in other countries exist. We only know a little about them RC Cells also exist naturally in humans to some extent, which as we've seen can go crazy and turn into weird tumors.

Drunk Yomo was cute. Ghoul wedding clothes look nice too. But what the hell, a microchip on his tongue? That's not good.

You underestimate the power of REALLY GOOD MEDS. And by this, I mean giving someone enough drugs to kill an elephant and only allowing them to play with baby-safe stuff.

Yeah but Mutsuki is a ghoul.

One with a nice sharp blade tentacles in the back.

And Ghouls can do weird shit as we've seen especially Eto.

So how much info should the guy with a microchip tounge leak before he was left behind?
