That's why Enter gave that little speech during his "Testing, Testing, 123" review saying that the American School system would try to force Twilight's method of teaching Rainbow down her throat. He liked the moral because it says that people have different ways they can learn. Some people learn by the book, some learn better with a hands on approach.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!Sadly yes that is pretty much what happens. Everyone has different ways of learning but school goes agiasnt that by trying to streamline everything for useless tests. The result? A lot of people are getting left behind and fed up with how the broken the system is.
Good luck with changing it right though, the people handling it will nab a good idea then implement it in some backwards ass fashion that just makes it harder for the students (No Child Left Behind, Common Core etc.).

I know. That MLP episode SHOCKED me at how much beef so many 20-somethings have with the school system!! It almost makes we wish they never even made that episode in the first place!
But it did have a good moral that said that there some people learn differently from others.
Hell, I'm 18 and even I have beef with the American School system.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!Everyone who has ever been through the American school system has a beef with the American school system.
there's problems with education systems all around the world.
the quality of education in public schools down here is...not the best, apparently.
Hell, the reason why any school that appears in anime is a PRIVATE school, is because Japanese public schools are a JOKE! If they do appear in anime, they're corrupt, poorly-run, decrepid, covered in graffiti, and home to gangs.
I thought it was more that it's easier to milk private schools, especially those where the students live there, for plot.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.Private Schools I hear are generally better than Public Schools except for cost.
Though the main issue with American Schools is that we focus on ONE way of learning and cram it down the throats when you are unable to learn that way. And fail you if you still can't learn things that way.

You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!Pretty much yes. They also rely way to much on testing that does not really indicate whether or not the said student has learned the task rather then whether or not said student has memorized said task. It's become less about showing what we learned and more about what we can cram in our heads that we'll just end up forgetting anyway. The tests here also don't translate well to immigrants trying to carve there own path here.
Standardized testing was absolutely useless for the most part....
The American version is probably damned hard to find, since it really hasn't aired since its debut in 1998, so I should have known.
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."Y'know I should of expected the show to be a huge amount of torture porn considering it's named Stressed Eric. That show seems ridiculously cringe worthy considering how the main character was just a normal dude getting a whole lot of shit for doing nothing (atleast in that episode).
Dear god, that show seems horrible to watch.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!"Cartoons are usually 22 minutes, for some reason." ... I'm sure he's half-serious with the last part of that sentence, but if not, how could anyone NOT know the reason for why a cartoon episode on TV is 22 minutes long?? Especially someone who has been watching television cartoons for over a decade??

I think he meant adult cartoon episodes being exclusively 22 minutes long, when non-adult cartoons tend to be 11 minutes long most of the time.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!Even that is easy to understand - that's how long most shows for adults are. Most sitcoms tell 22-minute long stories, so most other shows for adults do as well. All the major animated sitcoms of the 60s were like that.
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."I wouldn't say "most" adult shows—seem to be split between 22 minutes and 45ish minutes.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.I'd say adult comedies tend to be 22 minutes long.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!We had to learn the names of all the new countries in Eastern Europe/Western Asia after the Soviet Union broke up! That and Pluto not being a planet have nothing to do with the school system. Also I could like to see him watch a non-animated 22-minute adult show, so if he likes that! I recommend Trailer Park Boys or Oz (the old HBO show)!
Also I think if Enter just sat down and talked to his parents and reconnected with them, most of his problems would be solved!

Uh no. Talking out your problems with Abusive Parents is a no go. You are just opening yourself up for a heap ton of pain if you do that.
Ever heard of emotional abuse? Abusers of any kind use that tactic a lot on there victim. If Mr Enter was able to get away from that shitty situation then more power to him. It's not easy for anyone...
To be quite frank I do not get what your point was in this post

I was gonna say that Enter's got issues with his parents that can't be talked over.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!Pretty much yes. The best thing you could do in that situation is get the hell away from your abusers. Kick them out, cut all communication, etc. And even with that said it's not that easy to get away from them...
Abusers will use every trick in the book to control you. And very few people will help you sadly enough. The media influences a ridiculous amount of misconceptions on how domestic abuse works in it's entirety.
He wouldn't be the only one. The American School system is chock full of problems. Nowadays the bureaucrats over watching the school systems care more about money and pimping out the student's test grades or sports' teams then giving a student the best education they can.
And considering how Mr. Enter is a aspie or an autist (forgot what he actually has) he was likely treated even worse by the school system.
Just an FYI that was not the only thing he talked about in that journal entry. He briefly mentioned his Abusive Parents at one point......
