I could see it being a side scrolling beat em up
Forever liveblogging the AvengersPerhaps something along the lines of a beat-em-up like Scott Pilgrim did, though that might be a bit of a problem since Scott Pilgrim already did that.
Would definitely need to be something 2D retro-ish, though. A side-scroller might work, but I'm not sure that could capture the manic energy of the show properly.
A turn-based RPG would pretty much immediately turn into an RPG parody, and that particular horse is dead enough as it is.
Perhaps a shoot-em-up, Touhou style?
Then we'd get complaints about the game being too hard and the bullets are to shiny.
"Eratoeir is a Gangsta."I'd think something that's a cross between a beat-em-up and a platformer with some magical special attacks. I'm not sure whether it should be 2D or 3D though.
Reaction Image RepositoryHow many episodes have come out before the hiatus? Thought of giving it a try.
"No will to break."Ten 11-minute episodes.
Everybody is talking about (or even upset) because "the animation changed". I see no differences to be honest.
I'm not sure whether the differences are inherent to the animation or because it's just that the episode is that weird.
Reaction Image RepositoryAnd here's the promo for your viewing (and judging) pleasure:
I think I kind of see the difference: The first few felt more free-flowing, but this episode looks a bit stiff like most other flash animation.
"We be we baby!"... the line work looks less alive too.
I really can't see it. Looks the same to me.

It looks the same to me, too...
Trust you? The only person I can trust is myself.... looking more closely at it, it looks more similar to the beginning episodes than I first thought. It may just be a case of the editors using bad shots.
My God I hope his show doesn't devolve into worsening animation as it rolls on!
But shouldn't the writing and jokes and plot matter more than the animation?
"We be we baby!"Yeah, but good animation is a plus.
Yeah, but cute bouncy energetic animation helps jokes and plot (presenting new words)
Still, look the same to me.
Somehow regardless of perceebed differences, I can except They Changed It, Now It Sucks! responses and a debate that brings the Ariel/Helvetica debate to mind
I can sort of see a difference if I'm looking for it, but I probably wouldn't have noticed if it hadn't been pointed out.
Reaction Image RepositoryI still can't see it, honestly.
Looks still quite good to me.
The post does say "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery". I don't know if it's reffering to Star wearing Marco's hoodie or that the fanart looks very close to the show.
Maybe it's an alternate universe. Or some earlier designs

A video game in general for Star vs the forces of evil could be awesome, in the right hands of course.
