Pew. Pew pew.
Stupid power levels. Pretty immersion breaking.
Eh, I think it worked well enough here. Some might be upset about Gowther's instant powerup but I figured it was going to be something like "he forgot how strong he actually was along with everything else", as soon as we heard about him losing his memories.
The heart being a placebo manages to make Baratra useless again. Yay humans!
Secret SignatureAt least that should be the end of Creepy Gowther adventures.
Next chapter is a day off huh? Man, you guys remember the times when Ten Commandments were supposed to be a big deal and a real threat? Me neither!
Hey now, Zeldris and Estarossa are still doing...stuff, I guess? And Monspeet and Derieri are totally still around and relevant...and maybe Drole went back to the others because he couldn't accept Diane's answer...
Honestly at this point I'm just wondering when the Demon King or leader of the goddesses is going to show up.
And likely after them so threat that forces all of the races to act as one or be destroyed.
Seriously why are they getting stronger if the Ten Commandments are pretty much just four demons by this point.
Mileena MadnessActually there are currently only two. As Derrire and Monspeet were defeated by Mel. While they likely survived the fact that they were effortlessly beaten kind of makes it hard for them to keep being a threat.
Drolle and Gloxina appear to have just abandoned them, and also appear to be instantly forgiven despite all the awful stuff and murder they did. (They were not even controlled or under duress while doing it.)
By that same logic you shouldn't care about Estarossa or Zeldris either. Which is actually happening for a lot of people.
But, yeah, with Meliodas and Escanor it was already established that the remaining Ten Commandments are out gunned powerwise, and that's not even counting the recent stuff with King, Diane and Gowther. Also Merlin. Ban is the only one to go unchanged.
So at this point I don't think pure power is going to be how the enemy fights anymore, at least until the Demon King is released.
Isn't the DK deceased?
Mileena MadnessApparently he's sealed. Even if he was dead though, obviously he'd come back.
That's the whole point of feeding on Meliodas' emotions, well, that and making him evil again. That's why it's supposed to be good for both of them, as he sees it.
At least Estarossa and Zeldris were not effortlessly beaten. But they are much less threatening now as well.

Chapter 219:
Hmmm. The ones who're left of the Commandments might just make up for the uselessness of everyone else.
One Strip! One Strip!Would've been more impressive if he just sniped her, though equally nonsensical.
Secret SignatureI figured Orlondi (Vampire kid) was still alive, but I didn't know how Merlin would use him or she'd leave him as just an eye.
At least we've got an explanation for how Escanor has been in his night-form in the daytime.
Ha. So he's still around.
It's actually kind of weird seeing Merlin hurt and a bit panicky. I don't actually understand what she did there.
It looks like Zeldris fired not at the vampire eyeball but rather through the connection between him and Merlin.

That's my impression as well. I think that's why said Vampire Eyeball was confused about why it was still unharmed.
One Strip! One Strip!Still leaves me wondering what he meant about someone getting away from him, though.
You know, this chapter makes me go back to thinking that Escanor would be a lot more interesting if the implication was he couldn't be entirely trusted to not attack friend and foe alike as his daytime self. That was the implication when we first found out his situation, but it really hasn't been an issue since then.
Like, I get what the point of it was, but lets say that during the battle festival he was just legitimately aiming to blow away Gowther without care for what happens to anyone else, and Gowther's arrow hitting him caused him just accidentally miss and strike Drole and Gloxinia.
That being the kind of thing he would do would really add something to his struggle. I get that was more about Gowther, but still.
Extra chapter is out and... sigh...
Nakaba, why won't you have a seat. I think we need to talk...
I'm tired of reading about Elaine and Ban's meeting so I'm not going to read the extra chapter. Did he make out with her in her sleep or something?
No, it's a different side story, taking place at the current time in the manga.
And well, they went panty shopping. And Ban went with Eliane into the dressing room and put the panties on her.
I don't think the idea of power so great even the creator/wielder isn't fully exempt from it is that novel. What interests me more is that the commandments are explicitly a power different from magic.
Anyway, I suppose this answers why Gowther didn't restore Diane's memories when they meet up: he thought he couldn't. And I guess this also answers why he just didn't go looking for his old heart if he wanted one so badly: he purged his own memories of the entire situation.
