It's a YMMV page. That means you don't "go hacking at it" simply because you disagree with something that on there, even if you do know the ins and outs. A YMMV is is one for which Your Mileage May Vary — that is, not everyone is going to feel the same way.

I feel like, even though this is a YMMV page, a lot of these fanfics are NOT So Bad, It's Good, but just plain BAD. You can't laugh at them or enjoy them; you merely sit there and wrinkle your nose and quit reading by chapter one.
However I can't possibly go hacking at it on my own, especially when I'm not familiar with all fandoms.
