Okay, it's half past 3 AM for me and I'm way too fucking paranoid about biting the dust with this, so here. (Even though the urge to keep editing is strong…)^note Also, this is probably the shortest profile I've written for here, yet it's still pretty fucking big..? .__.

Name: Donna Helena Min

Divine Parent: Hel

Calling: Uncertain (probably a Librarian, maybe)

Appearance: A recent twenty-year-old with ocher skin, Donna stands at only 5’5”, with her body type being a bit thin but with relatively toned muscles. She has an androgynous appearance to her, with her sharp jawline; small, perpetually frowning mouth; big “black” eyes; long, thick eyebrows; short black hair; and her choice of clothes, which usually involve a form-fitting shirt or tanktop of some kind, a pair of jeans, and sneakers. She could potentially be seen as “pretty” by a fair few if they can look past the long scar next to her right eye that goes down from her eyebrow to close to her jaw.

Personality: Donna has a habit of surviving whatever gets thrown at her, which has helped to nurture a desire for pragmatism initially born from having to get by in a less-than-stellar neighborhood and a tumultuous household—it’s what taught her to be the quiet, quick, and intimidating-looking person that she currently is. However, in recent years, she’s been questioning her role in life, but not much (before her Visitation) had been catching her interest enough to want to make a future out of it. Despite this and her issues with her fluctuating appetite, self-esteem, and lingering grief, though, Donna manages to hold enough optimism for this new calling to start making her feel like she has a real reason to truly live life—and hopes that she can make sure the journey won’t make her become too much like her creepy, depressing mother.

Nature: Survivor

Background and Visitation^note Yeah, this is what’s considered “cutting corners” for me, apparently. But I just really didn’t want to end up being the only one with my usual, enormous, 5+ paragraphs of backstory this time around. In context, I still kind of failed at that, but fuck it at this point. ;__;: Nine months after her father Kyung had his first and last one night stand, a newborn Donna was found in a simple basket just outside his apartment door with a note simply telling Kyung that she was his daughter. With that, Donna spent her first few years being raised by her meek single father and the grandma who lived with them.

After Kyung married Nicole when she was five, Donna and the entire family had to move from a smaller town to a neighborhood in Portland, something which put a strain on her parents’ relationship and gave Donna, still in her elementary school years, her first experiences with stealth in the form of avoiding Nicole’s verbal wrath on the family. The situation, for obvious reasons, caused her stress, though, which coupled with the pugnacity of some of the kids that picked on her, lead to her occasionally getting tangled in fights (mostly outside of school grounds), something that she also learned on the fly. She continued getting into fights every now and again—more often for the sake of what few friends she managed to make later in life—until an incident in high school which resulted in a gangster giving her the scar on her face and killing one of her friends.

Donna stopped fighting outside of training for a long time and she became more reclusive in her grief, but the aftermath also made her start to think about how she didn’t really know what she was going to do with her life: her grandma, even with her progressively failing health, made sure that she did good academically, and she was athletic and agile enough to do well in some kind of sport, but none of that held that much interest in her—for reasons she couldn’t put a finger on, they didn’t seem worth pursuing. She dragged herself through community college to try finding a solution, but still came up empty when she got her Associates. Then potential answers came when she was attacked one night and ended up killing for the first time. It was at that point that Hel finally decided to show herself to Donna, telling her shell-shocked daughter—in her indifferent, Creepy Monotone, no less—about her true identity, then gave her three gifts “to do with as she will”: Two Relics, and a group of followers that would comply with her every whim.

Attributes: Three of Donna’s actual favored Attributes are Dexterity, Perception, and Stamina, although she also leans on Intelligence, Wits, and Manipulation on the side.

Skills: Athletics, Brawl, Stealth, and Streetwise are Donna’s most valued abilities, with her Empathy, Larceny, Academics, and some Medicine (anatomical knowledge and some treatments) and Weaponry being more secondary. With her new sword, she’s currently trying to get better with the Weaponry.

Birthright:

• Death: A short, elegant, and discreet sword◊ that she usually keeps on a belt.
• Darkness: An onyx bracelet that materialized around Donna’s left wrist, and is too small for her to remove without possibly breaking the bracelet or her bones.^note All Hel had to say about it was that while she didn’t give non-Death gifts that often, she said it might help Donna with the onyx’s inherent dark vision-enhancing properties and vaguely wondered if she would have more of an opportunity to use it than its previous owner did.

Equipment: Donna isn’t the kind to keep mementos (due to concerns that they’d just weigh her down). Instead, she mostly carries what few clothes she has, an old backpack, a swiss army knife, a smartphone, a wallet, and a small first aid kit.

Wikipedia suggested that the Vanir who are not mentioned (so...Freyr) are simply not part of Ragnarok, so maybe..:P
