Namesake is the story of Emma Crewe, a woman who discovers she can visit other worlds. She finds out that these are places she already knows – fantasy and fairy lands made famous through the spoken word, literature and cinema. Her power as a Namesake forces her to act as a protagonist in these familiar stories as she figures out how to get home.

Trope Page.

First comic.

Considering the amount of fairy tale/famous book references this webcomic has, I'm amazed I couldn't find a thread on it.

This is beautifully written :) I just love the fairy tale part and the way entire plot proceeds is just magical. Namesake reminds me of my childhood days and love for fairy adventures. Thanks for sharing!

I've been binging this one the last few days. I'm glad I caught up when I did (for future reference, book 5 just ended with chapter 24 and Adora answers questions), because it handed out major Mind Screwdrivers I wouldn't have liked not having.
