What so horrible about it anyway? Art style?

It just didn't feel right. Regardless, this is the wrong place for this anyway, so...

I still lament the fact that barely anyone gave Beware a chance due to the visuals. It was just as well-written as YJ and GL:TAS, and actually gave us a different take on Batman without using the Silver Age era like Brave and the Bold did.

As for this, the designs look a lot better in motion. Not a fan of Penguin's somewhat musclebound look. Kinda weird to see Cheetah alongside Killer Croc and Man-Bat in the Animilitia, and taking orders from Penguin, of all people. I do like the little bit we heard of the voice cast.

As much as I like Batman, I do agree that the spotlight needs to shine on a different superhero.

Was that Grodd? Why Grodd of all people would take orders from the Penguin? Grodd is an egomaniac with a rampant Alpha Male complex. And neither would the Ultra-Humanite or Monsieur Mallah, by the way.

Also, hey! Another Boys' Club superteam where no females and their icky cooties are allowed, like TB's Justice League!

That's supposed to be Silverback, not Grodd. If anything, why is Cheetah suddenly a henchwoman for Penguin?

Also, the lack of girls is jarring. Did we really need Nightwing instead of any version of Batgirl?

Dammit just make another Justice League show. Have the usual suspects plus Aquaman and Martian Manhunter. Gradually introduce more characters until it becomes full blown Heroes Unlimited like JLU

Well, they ARE making a new Super Friends show. in the form of shorts, apparently. That's kinda sorta the Justice League.

none of those are as marketable as batman. every single dtv movie they've made that wasn't batman or superman sold less than those that were.

i agree with you, but WB is just doing what makes sense for them financially.

Isn't Teen Titan enough of a proved profitable property (to the point GO! is the only DC survivor in CN) they could risk doing another animated movie on them? Granted, they have Robin, but still.

Welp. I never though that Batman may become rip-off of Power Rangers / Pacific Rim, but here we are.

To elaborate: Batman Unlimited is getting a new movie called Mech vs. Mutants. And I don't know what it's about but there are also shorts being released. And in all of these shorts villains like Killer Croc, Bane or Clayface are giant monsters while heroes like Batman, Robin or Green Arrow use giant robots.

Meanwhile Young Justice, Green Lantern: The Animated Series, and Beware the Batman stay cancelled.

Come to think about it, this sub-franchise is hardly female friendly, am I right?

I mean, I haven't watched the movies myself, as they don't even show them around here and I don't feel compelled to spend my scarce money on them, but from what I've read, do they even have any female important or semi-important characters other than Cheetah in the first one? At the very least, I don't remember any heroines.

They have Silver Banshee in the sequel.

Other than those two, not a lot of important female characters; especially heroes. They are being saved for the other DC Toylines tailored made for girls: DC Super Hero Girls.

. . . I now remember why I only stick with the Arrowverse and Animated Movies for good DC content outside of comics. When the hell is Justice League Action coming out again?

One of the ads for one of the online games had Batgirl in her Burnside costume, so we might see her.

Trailer for the new movie. Basically, Batman meets Pacific Rim.

Surely it'd have been easier to just, oh, I don't know, call on Superman to punch Croczilla in the snout, or something.

Wow, trailer used both "the problem just got a lot bigger" and "the bigger they are".

Also, it's funny how they play giant villains and hero mechs as some grant event thing, but in these new shorts it's like a Tuesday.
