Sounds good - I have the exams for the rest of this week but after that I'm scot-free for 2 months. I'll put what I have here and edit in the rest (when I need to procrastinate from study some more).
Name: Pytor
Race: Homunculus
Gender: Neither; Appears male
Age: 5 years
Appearance: Pytor was created to be a more durable, less human-like homunculus to serve his creators needs and is hence significantly taller than others of his kind, a little over 6 feet. He is boney but seems reasonably muscular, limbs perhaps a bit out of proportion to the rest of his frame and of ruddy, hairless skin. His face is angular and looks like that of a human but with pure white eyes. His hair, upon closer inspection, is actually made of short, fine copper wires running in haphazard directions.
Pytor wears a simple set of linen pants with an old dirty shirt but no shoes.
Personality: How do you act, how do you think, what do you feel?
Skills, Talents and Knowledge: Physically stronger and more resilient than a human but very vulnerable to magic. Reasonable alchemical knowledge and experience, some of magic too but unable to conjure as a natural lifeform.
Possessions: A rather mean looking rake, a few autumn leaves are still stuck to the prongs.
Bio: Any noteworthy events in your life? How were you raise? What did you do for a living? What where you doing when you got abducted?

“Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?”This sounds interesting. I'll make a character page tomorrow, I need to sleep now.
pffft hahahahahahahahahhhaahhahaha noLooks neat. Don't have a concrete concept yet, but will post a sign up when I do.
"The literal meaning of life is whatever you're doing that prevents you from killing yourself." Albert CamusDefinitely interested.
Trump delenda estTentative interest.
I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialInterested. I'll see what I can do about coming up with an idea tonight.
It's been fun.Lovely to hear so much interest! I'll be looking forward to seeing all of your characters.
If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything. While I will post tentative interest, I am a little worried given recent trends.
This sounds awesome!
I'll get to designing a character right away!
In loving memory of that plot arc that we spent nearly a year on. Now our sun may never set.Interest!
ಠ_ಠWell, I think I have a character drafted up for this. (It should be noted, that this is my first time creating a character for a role play on this site. First time in a while that I've seriously created a character in general. Also, sorry for not saying I expressed interest earlier.)
Name: Juvel Valentines
Race: Goblin
Gender: Male
Age: 22
Appearance: Juvel stands at 3'8" tall, which, while short by human standards, is actually rather tall by goblin standards - not unnaturally tall, but definitely not a common height among his community. In terms of weight, he's not quite fat, but he's definitely not skinny, although he still looks somewhat muscular despite his heavier weight. He is completely bald, has the typical large, pointed ears and nose of a goblin, and has beady black eyes. He has sharp teeth, obviously intended to eat meat, but he is capable of eating fruits and vegetable as well.
When he was abducted, he was wearing a purple silk shirt, a pair of simple cloth pants, a pair of leather sandals, and a simple straw hat.
Personality: Juvel has what could be considered something of a hedonist, as he believes that whatever offers him and his friends the greatest pleasure is usually the best option. While not quite as mischievous as your stereotypical goblin, he still has a mischievous side to him. While he is not necessarily "dumb," Juvel has a tendency to act without thinking, a tendency to think about things in the short-term without considering how things will affect him in the long term, and usually has a preference to keep things simple even when a more complex approach to something may be more beneficial. Juvel tends to be rather emotional.
Skills, Talents and Knowledge: Working at his uncle's shop for most of his life, Juvel has some basic knowledge of explosives and the basic mechanisms behind things like locks and traps. While not really a good leader himself, Juvel is good at following orders, as Juvel was ordered around by his uncle for most of his life. He is, physically, fairly strong (for a goblin) due to the nights spent reorganizing his uncle's shop.
Possessions: When he was abducted, Juvel had on him, besides his clothes, a medium-sized pack on his back with a notable amount of gold within.
Bio: Juvel was born the son of a poor male farmer and a female warrior. At about the age of 6, Juvel was sent to live at his uncle's shop, due to his parents realizing they were too poor to properly support him. His uncle, named Peri, was basically the local town tinkerer, who specialized in repairing and making things like toys, traps, locks, and occasionally explosives for the goblin soldiers during times of war. When Juvel arrived at his uncle's shop, it was clear that the main reason his uncle agreed to take care of him was to use him for labor. It started out as just occasionally helping him make toys or the like, before eventually Juvel's final "schedule" came into play - spend a few hours during the week days to help his uncle around the shop, spend Saturday cleaning up and reorganizing his uncle's shop, have Sunday off, and occasionally deliver products to those who ordered something specific and are unable or unwilling to come and pick them up themselves. It was a good life, although it wasn't exactly a rich life. Eventually, when Juvel was 16 years old, his uncle received a shady deal: He'd receive a large amount of money if he created and sent a rich noble woman a small, but highly illegal for someone without a proper permit, bomb. He and his nephew agreed, deciding the promise of riches outweighed the moral problems. Soon, this turned into something of a small black market business between them and the rich in goblin society, for which they were never caught, due to Peri's good reputation and no small amount of briberies. They struck rich, and lived the easy life for the following years. Juvel was coming back from a deal with a local noble when he was abducted.
Edit: Decided to get rid of potion-making and herbs in his skills and touched up his back story to match the change, because if the other person who submitted a character gets accepted, we already have at least 1 alchemist, and rereading the skills I gave Juvel, all that knowledge seemed like a bit much for the start.

Okay, I think I have something here...
Name: Gi (pronounced Gai or Guy)
Race: Clay Golem.
Gender: Female.
Age: 202
Appearance: Vaguely humanoid, grey, about the size of the average human, not generally recognisable as a female to others (except other golems), her eyes are a dull glowing purple and she does not appear to have any other facial features.
Personality: Generally careful, can actually think for herself but has long since discovered that no-one actually cares about her, she is quick to protect her master (and accomplices, but master comes first) and does not seem to feel pain by normal means.
Skills, Talents and Knowledge: Solid, sturdy body, can repair herself with random stones or clay, does not seem to forget anything she has seen, heard, or otherwise experienced.
Possessions: One ‘Obedience stone.’
Bio: Gi was the weakest of her tribe from the start, an embarrassment to her kin. They eventually sent her away from the small town, with a smooth, purple stone. All who held the stone were Gi’s master and owner. She was to protect and serve her master. She had many masters, all of them ended up dying because, weak as clay golems are, any golem under your command is good enough. She gained knowledge of many professions. Construction, crime, blacksmithing, she even had a master who attempted (and failed) to destroy her stone. She was like this for decades, serving all who encountered the stone, until one day she was somehow knocked unconscious and transported to a strange land…

In loving memory of that plot arc that we spent nearly a year on. Now our sun may never set.Alright! Glad to see these characters coming!
Hmmmg, unfortunately it seems I didn't take into account that some people may want to play constructs... which I believe I won't be able to accept due to two issues. One is that some are created by magic users which I wish us to have some distance to in the beginning and the second is that the rules of survival for a construct are wildly different than those of an organic being. Lectro, in your case I think Gi could be reworked without their golem status without too much difficulty but that's your choice to make.
Makeye, Juvel looks good! Approved.
If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything.Bugger. Well, a homunculus is meant to have similar needs to a human - just a little more sturdy in his case. But if he isn't going to work I can try to think of something else.
“Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?”Sorry Gob, truly. Still, I maintain my position due to the reasons mentioned above.
If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything.Fair enough, I'll see if I can think of another idea - I'm just studying for exams at the moment so I may be a while.
“Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?”@Daltar: Am torn between a lionoid beastman and a human who's a werelion. Any preference on your part?
Trump delenda estLaying claim to a vampire.
I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialWould a plant-person works? They'd have a greater emphasis on needing water and sunlight, but less on food.
"The literal meaning of life is whatever you're doing that prevents you from killing yourself." Albert CamusPlant: Good, works.
Vampire: A bit iffy. These guys are taking away healthy but somewhat normal people from the populations of the world.
Lions: For reasons stated above, lionid may be better than werelion as an affliction.
If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything. So no parasitic species or predators?
I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialNope, they are aiming for the common folk. Going to a village and nipping someone who looks somewhat normal to the population there. They avoid the infirm and those who look weak, with a preference for healthy people in good physical condition and perhaps a few healthy intellectuals.
If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything.Okay, but it's not an "affliction" he's just a lionman, a species of his world. Not a common one admittedly, but natural.

Trump delenda estAh, sorry tricksterson, I seem to have accidentally a word or two there... I meant that lionid would be better than werelion precisely because the later is an affliction and being a lionid is just a species.

Welcome to a new RP!
The title pretty much gives away the main idea, but let me explain it a little more. The set up is as follows, seemingly random people from a fantasy universe are attacked and abducted by mysterious entities... they get only a small glimpse at their assailants before they fall unconscious and then wake up in an environment quite unlike what they know.
They find themselves inside a crashed ship made of unknown technology and magic, out in an unfamiliar land, far away from civilization and with their captors nowhere to be seen. Thus, stranded they must make use of the resources available to them to survive and thrive in this new environment, explore the wondrous land and avoid whatever perils may be lurking out there.
As your GM, I shall be keeping track of inventories, managing events, describing the environment, managing all other life, report successes and such things, pure GMing as I won't be playing a survivor. As for your characters, they should be healthy specimens of any given fantasy race though I'd ask for races picked to not have abilities way beyond those of a normal human. It's alright to have a perk or two, and perhaps a weakness to balance them, but nothing that puts you in way too good a position. I'll also ask for no magic users or great warriors to begin with, those picked are for the most part normal individuals of their society. No big heroes, though you may have useful talents and knowledge and as long as you are healthy you should be able to face off what's out in the wild in the beginning... and later on... lets just say there is room for growth as a character, either through gained abilities, strength, magitek and such.
The society from which your character comes I'll leave up to the players to decide, though I'll ask for not a lot of magic there. It should be present, but it's not something that is very public or altogether common.
Now, if there's any question or further information you desire, I'll be happy to answer and if not... here is the character sheet!
