Haven't posted in here for a while because my computer was freaking out.

So hey, had some testfires and man, I it just makes me wanna go back and play Spl'oon The First, but Bot W is so good!

I really can't Roller anymore compared to my nooby "sticks only" days. But the gyro has spoiled me for how great it is for everything else so I probably won't touch rollers or brushes anyway. Dualies are fun, Jetpack feels awkward to get used to but I somewhat enjoy it still.

Shame I just Zelda'd through a test fire not even noticing and then I needed sleep and missed another.

Got in the last two tests. Had more dropouts than any other session on that last one, but it was good.

If the game's not out soon hope they'll do another Testfire.

It is just listed as "Summer 2017" so far.

They've clarified it would be in the second half of the year. So probably July to coincide with holidays in Japan.

Sounds like it'll come out right around my birthday. Which is good, because that's when I'll hopefully have more money available. I would pick up a Switch sooner, but I just had to spend 400 bucks on my car getting the driver's side window and the air conditioner fixed.

The rough surface is due to the sand blaster. They were much shinier beforehand thanks to casting it in an investment mold.

And no, they don't work, though I may get a spare squid amiibo and glue it on the base.

I believe there's apps that let you program NFC chips as amiibos... I bet that'll be cheaper than cannibalizing an actual squid amiibo.

Is that even legal? I'm looking at a reddit page about that and the first comment has someone explain that they won't release the required app for legal reasons.

BOTW speedrunners consider using emulated tags legit for the purposes of world records though... (getting Epona via the Smash Bros. Link amiibo saves the randomness of messing with a wild horse as you rush to the castle in Any %).

The program in question is "tagmo". You can buy NFC tags for $5 a pop.

Ok here's where it is a similar case to Playstation 1 and 2 emulators and the required BIOS files... the NFC emulator/editor itself is legal. Using the amiibo key file may not be.

Bad gear rolls can get scrubbed off, giving you ability fragments and leaving your gear with an empty slot again.

Save up fragments and you can use them for a guaranteed sub instead of constantly scrubbing and rerolling.

Skill crafting? Sweet.

Would have been cooler to have swappable skill badges, but this is fine too.
