Yeah, they can explode and reconstitute themselves from ink, determining different hairstyles shouldn't be an issue.

And we STILL won't get Callie's or Marie's.

The JP twitter referred to the new haircuts as new Species of inkling.

That's an interesting way of going at it, I'd say.

Also, at least one of those Inklings was wearing gloves.

I don't think they'll link every new piece of personalizable gear with abilities; that would be kinda overkill. Maybe they'll still only have the 3 current pieces of gear as the ones holding abilities, or maybe they are outright changing how abilities are equipped.

I wouldn't mind a more streamlined clothing gear system. I've ordered god knows how many clothes from Spyke and yet I've never gotten one perfect order. Also, fuck the RNG re-rolling system.

Never rolled a natural 3? I have a few of them myself. All-def Stealth Jump shoes get a lot of Ranked play.

Only two times. On my main account I got the Amiibo hair clip with 3 special duration ups. On my alt-account I got the bamboo hat with triple defense. The rest of my triple gears have been from Spyke after many, many re-rolls.

Maybe you pick abilities in the form of badges or such and clothes are purely cosmetic.

I can't see them dropping the "Main ability plus sub abilities" setup but I can see them detaching it from the cosmetic aspect.

Yeah, turning the abilities into socketable badges is the way to go.

So, is he going to be playing the story mode or what?

He said that he's going to mix it up and do both story progress and multiplayer in each episode.

So would how Switch address the absence of the Second Touchscreen? It was convenient to know where your teammates are, getting to their side, and check your progress on the map without it cluttering the tv screen or opening up the menu.

What if!

• Maybe the Switch can utilize the thing as a Wii U Gamepad while the game is still running on the TV?
• Maybe there's a minimap on the TV, and when you need to do an Inkstrike, it's like doing an airstrike in Call of Duty, there's a map/tablet interface on the screen.

I'd guess for normal modes there'd be a minimap in the corner, while for Ink Strikes there'd just be an overlay on the TV.
