Jeez, that's gorgeous. Didn't know Art Academy was that capable.

I did after I saw the Robin Williams one in another thread. I really should get that game for my girlfriend.

But yeah, amazing Splatoon art is amazing. Although the Inkling just standing on the side of a building like that confuses me somewhat.

Rather sexualized artwork though. I mean, will Nintendo allow it to stay up?

The standards aren't that strict. I've seen some truly suggestive and popular pieces of fanart that didn't have any trouble staying up to this day.

Seems like a pretty interesting game.

So the Direct had a trailer today. While we wait for the trailer to be put up, here's a summary: Mann vs Machine confirmed.

New trailer! As if I didn't already want this game enough.

Still my most anticipated game of 2015. Looks better than ever. I noticed skin color customization is now a thing. That's nice. Single player looks fun.

The single player looks awesome some parts seem like the levels without F.L.U.D.D. in Sunshine so it looks awesome.

It's great to know at least one shooter has a decent single player campaign. Also splatoon fan art is an example of a quick fanbase.

I hope they make an Inkling DLC for Super Smash Bros that you can get by buying Splatoon in the first two weeks then buying it later.

Complete with stage and those tentacle enemies for Smash Run (3DS).

So there was a Nintendo Direct today. Had a new trailer for Squid People Country come right outta nowhere.

Oh, forgot the most important detail.

Wait a minute ... The single player villains are gonna be octopi ...

All I'm gonna say is that I don't see how that's important and that I really don't want to spark a flame war by saying that.

Some of us just like any chance we get to play a character of a different skin color, you know.

I love the Single Player Trailer, but who's doing the music for this game? It sounds like something I'd like.

I have know idea who is doing the music just that the developers said all the music you hear is the popular music from the world the Inklings inhabit.

Some choice screenshots from the trailer.◊ While I doubt there will be voice acting or even any dialogue, there's definitely some sort of story and backstory. Super hyped. I'm guessing it's coming out in May.

I for one can't wait any longer for this, so i'm pre-ordering it.

Look at that fourth pic on the left: Octoroks confirmed. This is part of the Zelda timeline now.

It's in the same picture as a giant 8-bit Blooper, albeit one with the Inkling's mask around its eyes. Nice catch with the Octoroks though (I hadn't noticed them the first time).

I hope they give us a translation of the squid alphabet at some point so we can tell what those say.

Theory: All squid-like things throughout Nintendo's games come from the Splatoon universe, which is an alternate dimension consisting entirely of cephalopods. Things like Octoroks and Bloopers are invasive species from the Splatooniverse, and the cat was transported from another world — perhaps the Animal Crossing 'verse.
