In the interest of adding something of value to the discussion, this game's version of the challenge tower will have assist characters. So far, Cyrax and Rain have been confirmed as assists, which implies they won't be part of the playable roster.

Why not Cyrax!!!!!!? Still the coolest cyborg, his va was butter in MK 9 and I would love to see him fleshed out via rebellion against the L.K or something. There's gotta be at least ONE cyborg in the game...unless Sektor downloads his data or something as a variation. The guy is still alive so it seems silly to exclude him?
The scene where he punks scorpion is funny though. Cyrax was just being a straight up dick.

No, not kidding about the Brutalities. There was a screen from IGN's thing last week that said Brutality = 30 XP or something, and the way they said 'brutal' in the stream and how the other two reacted really can't be a coincidence.
Of course, I am willing to eat those words if they put in Eddie Riggs from Brutal Legend, but still.

Having played MK 9's story again the last two days, the THEY BACK FROM DA DEAD is going to feel really forced. Feels like a cop out somewhat.
I think zombie Kang is coming back unfortunately, as when Raiden zapped him he had the one eyeball just like zombie Liu. Ugh I hated zombie Kang, would rather have fire god Kang.
Issue 6 is out.
Kotal is quite the benevolent-ish dictator (or so he says about himself), he has been on Earthrealm and was emperor of the Maya. Mileena has Goro under her charms, and Reiko is her bitch. Also, she apparently ran Outworld into the ground after Shao Kahn's death, though it might be Kotal's paraphrasing. Funny thing is that Kotal's original tribe was called the Osh-Teck, which we've bastardized into Aztek. Nice way of playing with the Mayincatec trope.
