The big issue with Guests in MK... is gonna be whose going to be okay with letting there characters get massacred in gruesome ways.
Ah. Well comic book characters should be fine then. They get killed off dramatically in big, company-wide events practically once a year.

Actually, I don't think it would. If I recall from when Tales from the Borderlands was announced, the IP is owned solely by Gearbox.
As for Krieg vs. Jack... There really aren't that many (if any) characters from Borderlands that wouldn't be right at home in Mortal Kombat. I went with Jack for the smarm his fight dialogue would bring.
