Another Fate/Apocrypha trailer. Comes out in July, and will apparently be released on Netflix?
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Despite being the main heroine of the route, Sakura barely appears in the trailer.
I suppose they are keeping to tradition, but I'm beginning to think the dismissive attitude towards her that I've seen on this board (and that I've slowly but surely come to agree with) is shared among the more general fandom.
One Strip! One Strip!Well she doesn't really do anything until she turns evil.
Also I've heard that since Fate/Apocrypha has to be translated first it's not going to be available on Netflix outside of Japan until like October? Is that true?
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Yeah, Sakura is mostly passive in Heaven's Feel until shit gets real, and they can't show any of that in a trailer because spoilers.
Remember Netflix likes to dump whole seasons. They won't simulcast something unless it's better call saul or somesuch.
x4
You'd think that Carnival Phantasm was an indicator of how popular Sakura is then, which is funny given that characters like her are generally more liked in Japan than in the West.
Aside from that, the lack of Sakura in the trailer is kind of keeping in line with the original VN since the twists of Heaven's Feel are not hinted or explored until you play the route.
Instead of focusing on relatives that divide us, maybe we should try to find the absolutes that tie us.Trailer time.

"Strategy? Spacing? I just keep punching until I hit something." - Sol BadguyI know Sakura is my least favourite of the three ladies. I think Rin's the best fit for Shirou and is confident if internally slightly insecure. Saber's a badass but also has to deal with basically being a martyr. But Sakura's just kind of a wallflower, The Woobie taken to such an extent that any romantic relationship would just look exploitative.
"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"Australian screenings of Pressage Flower have already happened
Oh, come on. We all know Rin / Shirou / Saber is the best match-up.
Though honestly the thought of Lancelot, Mordred or any of the other Knights of the Round Table being summoned in a hypothetical Sixth Grail War based of the UBW Good End would be hilarious! At least to me.
I would like to see Mordred's reaction to Shirou sleeping with her father.
Though really I just want to see a non OOC Mordred interacting with Artoria at all in a casual setting. Closest we've gotten is Tristan's interlude where she's like 'Anyway dad's coming so imma bug out so we don't come to blows when there's more serious shit to take care of, later.'
Mordred and Shirou meeting would actually be really interesting.
I don't think they'd get along at all, but it would still be interesting.
"WHY ARE YOU SLEEPING WITH MY FATHER, YOU PERVERT?!"
"IT'S NOT LIKE THAT, YOU WEIRDO! I WOULDN'T SLEEP WITH SABER IF IT WAS THE LAST THING I DID!"
"HOW DARE YOU TALK ABOUT MY FATHER THAT WAY!" *punch*
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Shirou and Sakura are both equally broken people, so it's hard to say that Shirou having a relationship with her would be any more exploitative than her having a relationship with him.
Ahahahahah what? Shirou's kind of nuts but that's pretty much all him. All he did was grow up for a while without a parental figure after getting orphaned. Yeah, that's kind of traumatic but it's not "getting repeatedly raped and fed to worm things as a child" traumatic. Shirou's had an okay, if difficult life. Sakura's had hell her entire life.
"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"I don't think you understand Shirou at all if you think that the only thing wrong with him is that his parents are dead.
The Heaven's Feel route is basically about how broken both of them are. I thought it was pretty explicit.
I'd recommend therapy but by God I don't know what therapist could help their truckload of issues.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."To be fair, "I gave up all my dreams and then literally killed myself for you" isn't necessarily the healthiest foundation for a relationship anyway.

But he... basically did.
So the UBW version was flawed because they were supposed to show Archer smiling to indicate that, while Shiro still became Archer, he hadn't given up in the same way Archer did.
The battlefield he's on is all just a visual metaphor? He's not actually on some god-forsaken desert full of swords?
