Because they kept that shit under wraps.

If Clock Tower knew, bam Sealing Designation

Yeah, Rin's protecting him. She left out any mention of UBW in her report to the Clock Tower, and it is mentioned (in the VN, not sure about the anime) that Shirou has to be very careful at the Clock Tower not to let on that he can do that. As far as anyone there is concerned, he just has a weird talent for projection.

Yea, nobody but Shirou and Rin knows about UBW at Clock Tower.

Well, Zelretch probably knows, and Weaver has likely suspicion of sort.

Fortunately neither of them are exactly conventional magi to rat him out

A Sealing Designation is in theory an honor, not a punishment. "Wow, that's some really impressive magic you got there, gonna capture you and put your brain in a jar so we can figure out how it works."

Nothing says honor like being a labrat for the Mage Association.

How was Iskandar able to get his Reality Marble exactly?

Crystallization of a feat. He didn't have it in life. Sort of like how Gate of Babylon gets more stuff in it even after Gil died, even if it doesn't make sense.

Not exactly. He got RM because he an his men shared same ideals and will into degree they managed create one with quantity instead of usual quality.

But yeah he didn't have it in life (or he just didn't know how use it).

About the Gate, did Gil have access to it exactly like that when he was alive? Cause when I first saw Zero & learned how servants get their powers I thought the Gate was given to him as a power as a representation of all the treasures & weapons Gil received during his adventures while symbolizing his status as the original hero where all legends have some basis in. Having it function like a telepathic machine-gun is just rule of cool.

But I didn't think he'd have actually have access to the damn thing exactly like that when he was alive cause that's fucking amazing.

His fight with Enkidu consisted of him chucking treasures at him until he ran out and Enkidu was out of mud, so yeah, basically. Living Gil in Babylon chapter pops magic staves out of the fault to blast his enemies since he doesn't really seem to know magic.

So Iskander's RM is just a gestalt feat by all of his army?

Yup.

It's stated to be as much I believe. I can't quite recall where, but I think it's said by both Word of God and This Very Wiki.

During the anime, Iskandar says he can create his Reality Marble because that world exists "inside the heart of every single one of us". I assumed it sort of meant that he could summon his soldiers because their spirits were willing to be summoned to fight for him again.

Yeah, that may be the best explanation.

So, what all do you guys think they're going to change in Apocrypha, if they change anything at all?

Her original costume was okay, orphan in ragged cloak.

They're probably not gonna change the design.

True.

I must say though, having "random non-mage psycho person get a Servant and cause chaos" in these kinds of things is getting dumb. How important are Assassin of Black and that prostitute lady to the story?

Third volume where they attack Sieg's team so they get killed off. Reika is essentially unimportant while Jack is at least relevant in the sense of actually causing consequences long term (you'll see).

The original one shot characterization is what I prefer of Reika because Higashide decided to explicitly try to make her into some scheming mastermind on the level of Kiritsugu.

So no, they're not as good as Ryuunsuke and Gilles and even they were ultimately pointless in the grand scheme of things.

Now you see that's what I'm worried about that Jack & her master won't be fun enough to maintain the spotlight especially as I heard that there supposed to be pitied & make the audience feel very sorry for them.

Ryu was a twisted fuck but he was an entertaining fuck & quite frankly stole every scene he was in. Also I checked Jack's skills & she is not the type to handle so many servants converging on her. At least Gilles had an NP that could summon an army & a sea-monster. Jack's NP is so specific its borderline useless in most cases.

As irrelevant Ryu & Gilles were they were some hilarious assholes.

Again, the mistake was trying to make Reika and Jack into a pair that was actually trying to win the War instead of trying to survive

To be fair, 'non-mage not adverse to killing casually gets a fairly murderous Servant and gets embroiled in the War in a way that is semi-important (and let's be honest, Zero Caster was more or less as important as Medea if not even more... he provides more of a common enemy for the rest of the Servants than Medea did) but not terribly so' is something of a tradition dating back to the first incarnation of the franchise by now, unreleased Prototype aside.

Hell, we've even had a wolf as a Master. Compared to that even a random prostitute is unremarkable.

Also didn't like the Sieg and Jeanne romance, mostly on Sieg's weakness as a character
