Great to find someone else who likes that song.
It's one of the best tunes written for a Nicktoon of the 90s, up there with, say, "Happy Happy Joy Joy," the Royal Canadian Kilted Yaksmen anthem, "The Simple Things", "Spring Cleaning", the Recycle Song (R-E-C-Y-C-L-E, recycle)...
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."TIME FOR A SCAVENGER HUNT!! Let's flood this thread with as many classic Nick songs as possible:
Pretty Little Piece of Paradise
And some you might not get:
Dog Pound Hop - the full version!
Whew! That's nostalgia for ya!

What a wonderful radio show! All the best songs of 90s Nickelodeon in one place!
Do you happen to own copies of The Best of Nicktoons and The Newest Nicktoons?
And where the heck did you get that radio interview from?

One of the things I collect is old cartoon music albums from the 90s. I bought The Best of Nicktoons in 2001 and I haven't lost my copy since.
From what I saw you didn't include the Svën Höek theme. That's my only major gripe. The rest is finely chosen.

The problem there is you generally have to look for the episodes to find material you can't find on CD.
This, by the way, is a big reason why I don't think you could do the same thing for 90s Cartoon Network.
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."I think you could do a pretty good one for Cartoon Network in general. There's a bootleg out there compiling most of the music that's been on the channel (which is pretty fantastic). Most of the music from Cartoon Network was pretty fantastic—a whole lot of alternative rock throughout the channel's history, everyone from The Apples In Stereo to They Might Be Giants to Shonen Knife to The Go! Team. And even some classic artists like Paul Williams (in the Dexters Laboratory episode "Just an Old-Fashioned Lab Song"). The songs that haven't been compiled by CN or on that bootleg I mentioned are pretty easy to find through releases by the original artists.
I've actually been planning a Cartoon Network themed broadcast for my radio show for a while now. Just need to put the playlist together.

Insert witty 'n clever quip here. How can you do it? Let's see...
There's Cartoon Medley, which mostly contains theme songs from the channel about 1999. There's a lot of Hanna-Barbera cartoon themes, as well as the themes from every Cartoon Cartoon up to Ed Edd N Eddy, plus two songs: "The Legend of Sailcat" and "Smells Like Cartoon Planet." There's also the classic promo "Boo Boo, Baba, Dee Dee."
There's also The Musical Time Machine, which has the Professor Hawk song and "Breathe in the Good Sunshine."
There's Heroes and Villains, with "Signal in the Sky" and the Shonen Knife song.
And there's two whole C Ds of Space Ghost, Zorak and Brak material, Musical Barbeque and Surf 'N' Turf.
And "Brains!" is pretty easy to find. And "Powerhouse" too.
But for the rest of it you might have to search and get one of those audio recording programs.
That's how you get stuff like "The Ugliest Weenie" and the songs from "The Sensitive Male", as well as such treasures as "Brak's Tales of Suspense." (So I went to the grocery store...and I went to get some MIIIIIILLLLKKKK. Dun-dun-da-dun!)

"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."There is also "Power Pop" that has the songs "That's What Girls Do" and "Chemical X"
For some reason the Cartoon Cartoons had very few songs in them. like the most you'd get in a show (sans musical episodes) is 1.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!I don't know. The songs were generally pretty incidental. Though what musical numbers there were stand out as a result.
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."I find it very amusing that this thread turned into the "Nick and CN music thread" XD
I was searching through the channels a couple of days ago and they were airing Rocket Power..3 episodes straight..
Supports cartoons being cartoony! That's what happens when a block needs to rehash all they have to keep it going.
Oh really? Dang.

Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceI think I now discovered why other classic Nicktoons don't show up on the block: Ren and Stimpy can now be seen late night on MTV 2, apparently.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceyeah..At freaking 3 am in the morning!
And it's mostly the later episodes. Good thing for the World Wide Web :D

Supports cartoons being cartoony!Listened to this last night. I miss Ka Blam.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceI've heard rumor that the original creator still has all the masters on betamax, and might upload them to his site sometime this year.
It would be really awesome if it was true, but part of me dreads it. What if Episode 29 doesn't actually exist?
"No will to break."
"Cat diggedy dog" is still one of my favorite song-and-dance tunes when I need to be cheered up.
