Interesting. What sort of language is used here to ostracize such characters? What do people say about them?

Oh God! Natural light! It's basically a "underdog-but-not-really" story where the character has a lot of talent and/or basically a genius but is not recognized by the system they operate in due to their bullshit standards.
x3
There is actually a help-line in the Japanese embassy in France, which is for Japanese citizens suffering from severe culture shock as France was not what they were expecting.
More like whatever test they have is simply not meant for measuring their specific skill set. The bane of standardisation.
Si Vis Pacem, Para PerkeleThis actually explains a lot of things. The nail that sticks out gets hammered I presume?
Also, what are the Japanese views on luck and talent?
"We are just like Irregular Data. And that applies to you too, Ri CO. And as for you, Player... your job is to correct Irregular Data."WORSE THAN 4CHAN!?!? HERESY! HERESY!!!!!
advancing the front into TV TropesThere are plenty of sites worse than 4chan. Most of them were set up by people who got kicked off 4chan for being assholes.
8chan is supposed to be the place that 4chan looks at and goes "oh, those guys..."
are you seriously telling me there are parts of The Internet worse than /b/!?!?
advancing the front into TV TropesThere's always a bigger fish...
Oh God! Natural light!Like I said, 8chan is basically all the stuff that got distilled from /b/ for being too nasty. For /b/.
that.... that's not possible... it's can't be... /b/ is the cancer of The Internet...
advancing the front into TV Tropes
/b/ is the Internet. 8chan is the cancer that spawned of it.
This reminds me that many Japanese videos have the comments appear on top of the video. I get the idea, but it's really irritating.

Si Vis Pacem, Para PerkeleIt's a NicoNico thing. Youtube had something years ago where they let anyone add their own annotations to a video they didn't upload. It was fairly short-lived.
It's one thing to make a spectacle. It's another to make a difference.Unlimited Dick Works, right?
Sorting Algorithm of....Trolling I presume? I wonder who is the Bigger Bad to 2ch's Big Bad?
"We are just like Irregular Data. And that applies to you too, Ri CO. And as for you, Player... your job is to correct Irregular Data."The actual worst part of the internet is the Deep Net, which has real life fucked up things going on in there.
No shit. Those sites got babies getting auctioned off for sexual purposes.
...Well, okay, maybe not that exactly, but let's just say that there's a lot of underage prostitution and the selling thereof going on in there.
Or lets you log into websites.
Don't buy every thing that the media tries to say, your LOG IN PAGE is a deep web website, because it is un-indexed and unsearchable.
(This is why the deep web makes up so much of the internet)
/b/'s kinda lost its luster. /pol/ is way worse than /b/ now, and on top of that has been trying to take /b/'s lace as the "heart" of 4Chan. That's the board that spawned 8chan and sites like it.

This conversation seems to have gotten away from being about Japan, perhaps we should take it to another thread? Anyone want to start one for discussion Internet communities/culture?
“And the Bunny nails it!” ~ Gabrael “If the UN can get through a day without everyone strangling everyone else so can we.” ~ CyranOhhhhh, I would love one....
Seems like a fight waiting to happen though.
Ohh yes. I have plenty to say about how Youtube (And possibly the internet in general) treat Europeans.
Uh... you know the mods instantly close any complaint threads, right?
As long as it doesn't continually devolve into flaming arguments of burning flame, a thread on Internet culture wouldn't be inherently against forum rules, no.
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)
The Japanese like the French, but I don't know about other European countries (Though I do imagine they probably like them more than the US, except Russia).
