With Knights, it's all about flanking and hitting the weak spots. RL to the face just pisses them off, you wanna be dialed in on those glowing circles with a Light Rifle. Much more compelling than H4's "dump bullets into them forever and hope you get a lucky headshot before your clip runs out."

Tis a pity Lightrifle ammo is so scarce in H5 and their little yellow weak bits so hard to hit or otherwise reliably damage.
Worse their constant bombardment of one-hit-kill Scattershots or Incinerators on Legendary make flanking tactics a dicey proposition.
At least in Halo 4 every hit could count if you just bombarded them with constant fire. (And on Legendary in H4, they'd still die quickly to cheese power weapons like Incinerators or Binary Rifles.)
Which brings up another thing. Why is ammo so freaking hard to come by? Nothing holds any real amount of bullets in reserve save maybe the SMG with the Carbine a borderline case. Ever since the first game Halo has been constantly decreasing the amount of ammo you could carry for anything.

"Allah may guide their bullets, but Jesus helps those who aim down the sights."Got the last Skull from campaign. Now I have all the collectibles.
I've also noticed that silencers on weapons in Warzone makes AI opponents less aware of you. Take Warzone Firefight for example, I was fighting some Banshee Raiders in an early round and I have a Silenced Assault Rifle with Longshot scope and I was dumping tons of rounds into them and not attracting a lot of attention when normally you barely graze the fuckers and they come around and bomb you with Fuel Rod Guns.
"Allah may guide their bullets, but Jesus helps those who aim down the sights."FOEHAMMER! WHY CAN'T YOU SHOW UP THREE SECONDS EARLIER!
Was literally that far from achieving "Pacifist", "Feet Firmly Planted" and the par time acheivements for The Silent Cartographer all at once. Bloody Zealot chasing you forever with its 3 hit kill sword on Easy.
"Allah may guide their bullets, but Jesus helps those who aim down the sights."343 just confirmed something really big coming for an upcoming update.
"You are performing admirably! I think. There's less of them now than there were before, which I assume is your objective?

Niiiiice.
Seconding the call in the Reddit thread for Johnson to make a comeback as well, I don't care if it doesn't make any sense in-universe. Call it a group auditory hallucination if you have to.
Also, heard a rumor that the custom games browser is in the final stages of testing, so that'll probably be in the next update too :O
Sorry for double post, but interesting Halo Wars 2 tidbit from Frankie, when asked if we would play as the Brutes:
"This campaign is from human perspective, but obviously MP lets you use them and their stuff. "
This campaign is interesting phrasing for me, considering the presence of extra campaign missions in the season pass... villain campaign incoming?
If there was a campaign for the Banished it'd obviously be fighting the Covenant.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Or perhaps the UNSC forces on Installation 00 prior to the Spirit of Fire getting there?
"Allah may guide their bullets, but Jesus helps those who aim down the sights."That might be the last mission, yeah.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Description of Halo: Envoy from the newest community update:
It has been six years since the end of the Covenant War...and yet on the planet Carrow, a world on the edge of the Joint Occupation Zone, a decisive new battle suddenly erupts. Human colonists and the alien Sangheili have already been living a tension-filled co-existence in this place, with Unified Earth Government envoy Melody Azikiwe attempting to broker a lasting peace between their two species. But as civil war now engulfs the Sangheili settlers, Melody must act on an additional covert assignment courtesy of the Office of Naval Intelligence: find a way to free the SPARTAN-I Is known as Gray Team, held in stasis since the end of the war by a cunning Elite fleetmaster consumed with vengeance. And none can anticipate the ongoing violence leading to the discovery of an even greater, unstoppable threat, hidden for eons below the surface of the planet….
Get hype!
Also, more info about the next content update incoming on Tuesday, apparently.
Oh, Grey Team is back!
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.I loved Anniversary Throwback. It was a a relatively fair version of Arena that is NOT cluttered with fucktons of corners and disorganization. (And one of the things besides a couple Big Team Battle maps I can sorta reliably win at.)
PS: Super Fiesta is teh suck. So cluttered and if you get piss poor weapons in a respawn (aka anything NOT Rocket Launcher) you might as well not fight that life. I understand the intent, but really it needs better maps or better weapon balance. (Or both.)
"Allah may guide their bullets, but Jesus helps those who aim down the sights.""GET READY FOR THE REQIEST REQS YOU'VE EVER REQED!!!"
Bump. I just found this.
It might be better than the original cutscene. Then again, most of H5's cutscenes are better than H4's. (And they're both better than Reach.)
But of course, that's not to say any of it is bad.
"Allah may guide their bullets, but Jesus helps those who aim down the sights."Hey 343, you wanna know why there's little difference in performance between an AR user who is Diamond and one who is Champion? BECAUSE THE BLOODY AR SUCKS! It's the weakest weapon in multiplayer, barely usable against weak enemies (or peppering bosses/vehicles with tiny damage) in Warzone. It can't fight other players especially against well, anything really. Maybe it can beat a Needler or Plasma Pistol, but that would be about it. Maybe if you squint really good and get a miracle of non-interference you can beat a Storm Rifle at a distance. Everything else beats your arse into the ground.
"Allah may guide their bullets, but Jesus helps those who aim down the sights."Halo: Envoy is the best Halo novel since the original trilogy.
And I LOVED Last Light.
Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters. Some evidence surfaced online that implies we might be seeing a PC port of Halo 5 in the near future. There's no official confirmation from Microsoft nor 343 Studios, but one can hope...
If we start getting PC ports of Halo games now it would remove one of the last few things tying me to my Xbone.

I'd rather fight Soldiers than Crawlers. Soldiers at least put up an interesting fight, if annoying that they won't stop Teleport Spamming everywhere. Crawlers in H5 seem to have been given Flood AI in that they don't put up much weapons fight but rush you in large numbers to melee you constantly.
And Knights in H5 can go die in a fire, at least on Legendary. Rocket Launcher to the face? No-Sell. (And that's if they DON'T literally slap it away!) Knights in Halo 4 were much more interesting. Maybe Halo 6 can merge the types? Tone the durability (and dependence on using almost nothing but artillery aka Incinerators) down a tad but increase their speed, Teleport Spam and tactical capabilities to be more in line with Halo 4. Making them gimmicky Hunters didn't come across as well as it could have.
And speaking of Hunters, I think they found a winner here. I don't see much need for revision from those.
