This looks promising. The weapons look appropriately crazy, the parkouring looks fun, and character customization is a plus. Coming this fall, too? Man, this'll probably be the thing to convince me to buy an Xbox One.
This really feels like the game FUSE should have been. Fast, fun, and with loads of interesting weapons.
Have to admit. I'm a little disappointed this isn't on the PS 4.
Dreamkeepers Prelude, check it out!Yeah, that's the thing that really struck me; this is Insomniac learning their lesson after Fuse more than anything else. Always nice to see a dev go back to what they're good at.
Doublepost/bump for the win!
Aside from several new Sunset TV's, there's also a leak pointing towards 8 player free-roam co-op: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=833110
EDIT: Also, there's a constant loop of Sunset Overdrive footage showing on Xbox Live Event Player for those 5 other Xbox owners left around here

Never have I seen something so majestic:
I'm going to be honest, I wish this was the type of game Insomniac made last gen instead of the Resistance series.
This game looks like the thing Bullet Storm tried to be. It's the digital enbodiment of Totally Radical and BFG all in one. If only I had the money for an Xbone.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceLooks like something I'd enjoy if I ever got within ten feet of a XONE.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.You know you want to.
Sorry, I'm a loyal Sony guy
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.I dunno about this one. It's different from the usual shooters, but the wackiness seems a tad forced.
Despite being about as Sony-loyal as they come, I want this game to succeed, both for its originality, and because it would validate Insomniac a bit more. That's always a good thing.

Is it a bad thing I feel this game's gonna flop?
Don't get me wrong, I think it will actually end up being a really cool game, it's just that it won't be able to find an audience.
The dudebro audience will think it's "stoopid ass shit" and not buy it. Conversely, the Reddit / Tumblr/ TV Tropes audience will think its "gaijin dudebro Xbox shit" and not buy it. So, in the end, everybody who plays the game loves it but everybody who doesn't falls into its Hatedom and it ends up flopping.

It's possible. There's more audiences out there than those, though. I am a little disappointed to see the lukewarm reception it's gotten around here just because it's an Xbox title, but I think there's an audience for it.
Combat is basically Bio Shock Infinite with Ratchet And Clank tossed in the mix.
New Sunset TV!
Contains a fairly amusing shot against Ubisoft for the female characters debacle.
Another new Sunset TV! I missed a few, so if you're interested, check out the others.
VideoGamer give their thoughts on the game.

So, noticed that there wasn't a forum topic for this yet, which struck me as odd given the huge infodump we just got.
Sunset Overdrive is a 3rd person shooter/platformer/...thing from Insomniac Games (Ratchet & Clank, Resistance). It takes place during what the developers are referring to as the "awesomepocalypse," which is like a zombie apocalypse but minus the angst.
There is a gameplay trailer here. Have at it!
