I wish the pre-order bonus could be a plush sometimes, even if it's a small one.
"There is no story. It's all drugs."Fear the power of plushy Groudon and Kyogre.
Why is it only the PAL versions that get all the cool preorder bonuses?

'Cuz the PAL versions almost always get screwed over otherwise.
They do? I can't really remember, but I think some PAL games never come out in other regions, while other PAL games receive huge delays and come out a lot earlier in NA.
In terms of content, I'm not really sure in general, but everytime I've heard about differences between the PAL and NA versions, it was how the NA versions were censored or more limited. (except for gambling in Pokemon, damn European laws screwed the world over)
(oh, yeah...this was a Pokemon discussion XP)

Let it be known that Nintendo of America hates Nintendo fans. At least that's the impression I get sometimes when they fail to bring over the cool stuff.
The last version to be released is usually the best version because it's had the most bugfixes... but you're right, it also has the most potential for new censorship.
So, play the first and last versions for coverage, if you can read Japanese!
no export for you isnt nearly as bad for europe as it used to be.
though that doesnt mean im not completely justified in utterly losing my shit over some stupid delays and relapses.

I found a higher quality zoom-in of Mauville City on the new Hoenn map. It looks like it's maybe all in a huge building.
Also, zoom-in of that random dark cloud in the corner of the map.
I feel like I should know what that dark cloud is
Oh really when?I honestly don't care what that dark cloud is. At this point there's only one thing that I'd like to know: does the Battle Frontier make a return (in a form that's close to it's original incarnation)?
Mauville City is the Pentagon!
"There is no story. It's all drugs."framerate issues in x/y were pretty bad because the game wasnt optimized, right?
whats the chance of oras doing a better job of that?
If they're going so far as to have a Trainer verion of one of the laggiest aspects of XY, I'd like to think that it's at least going to be addressed.
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyI have a question concerning the release date of these games. I pre-ordered Omega Ruby from a website called Play-Asia that I have ordered Pokemon games from before, back in May when it was first announced. Today I got an email saying that the release date was changed from being specifically November 21, to a more general "November, 2014." Is this something that is only affecting pre-orders (meaning they might come in earlier or later than the store release) or does anyone know if this has changed the release date in general? The official website still says that it is November 21, so I suspect this is just for people who have pre-ordered from Play-Asia, but I was just wondering if anyone else has received any similar emails.

It's probably Play-Asia. There's been no release date changes. Not sure why you'd order from them when it's a semi-worldwide release.

Because it had a pre-order available and I wanted to make sure I could get it, have it coming in the mail, and not have to bother with the store crowds that would be there on the release day and soon after. I think the reason I used Play-Asia rather than some other method of pre-ordering was because it had the games available right away and because they were reliable when it came to my Japanese Pokemon games so I presumed that they would be reliable when it came to this one as well (and yes, I got the US version because I'm aware that it's the only one that would work on my 3DS).
I'm aware that my reasons aren't necessarily logical, and some of it I'm not sure how to explain without going into some aspects of my personal life that are off-topic here.

Oh hey, the character now has scuba goggles and some sort of breathing device when diving. That's neat.
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru! Was that...a Pikachu tail sticking out of the grass?
And Japan wins in the pre-order bonus department. Again. Eat your heart out Europe.
Please tell me Brawly's Makuhita being lvl. 16 is a mistake (its lvl. 18 in the original).
If Game Freak tones down the difficulty of this game I'm not going to be happy.
I imagine it's a minor in game set encounter.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.Guessing that's the cosplay Pikachu.
Groudon saw Primal Kyogre and shat himself in terror.
