I don't feel like Bloodborne needs a sequel, and I'm keen to see what happens to Armored Core off the back of the Soulsborne hype. We've been saying for ages that a scifi Soulslike would be cool, but unfortunately (maybe) there's a game called... I can't remember what it's called, but it does the thing I thought would be a good idea for a scifi Souls which is have the character equipped with an exoskeleton to to which weapons and other gear is attached.
It's going to bug me what that game's called now. It's The S-something, it starts with an S or an SH, I think.
You're talking about The Surge. It's made by the folks behind Lords of the Fallen, and it's basically Dead Space with Souls-like combat.
Personally, what I want to see from FROM is at the very least a HD remaster of the two Otogi games, and ideally a new sequel.

Fear the cinnamon sugar swirl. By the Gods, fear it, Laurence.Yeah, that's the one. I remembered the name out of nowhere at work this morning. I didn't get any Dead Space vibes from it though. The exoskeleton thing is still a cool idea.
Trying to decide on my second weapon for my skill/blood main. Running with the Germanrapierpistolthing so far, trying to decide what to pair it with. I liked the Chikage but it's pretty stamina-consuming and...weird. If I understand it currently, it's all or nothing skill or bloodtinge, pick one and use that mode and forget the other?
Just got the Burial Blade but that's skill/arcane, isn't it? The Rakuyo is cool but I prefer being able to counter with my Evelynn. I still love my Threaded Cane and my Rifle Spear.
Also trying to figure out what to pair up with strength/arcane alt's Amygdala Arm with.
"But don't give up hope. Everyone is cured sooner or later. In the end we shall shoot you." - O'Brien, 1984Don't let the Burial Blade and Blade of Mercy fool you. They might have Arcan damage and scaling, but it is so insignificant investing into ARC for those two weapons isn't worth it and their Skill scaling gets very high, so they are purely Skill weapons.
Micolash is the worst fucking boss fight of all time jesus christ.
I'd rather get fucked by the Bed of Chaos than do this bullshit.
I mean, I like him. On NG, at least. NG+ he can fuck right off.
Everything about his game design is infuriating. I want to punch Miyazaki in the dick for this.
You know I've been wondering. With all thats said in the DLC, when I buy the DLC, do I have to reset my character? I know that you need to beat the game first and get on NG+, but looking through the achievements, I noticed that the Old Hunters is a separate page. So I was thinking if I need to buy the whole game again but with the DLC.
Cuz right now, I have the base game.
This land is peaceful, its inhabitants kind.. ∩(·ω·)∩ WAIT, is this supposed to be the mistress herself?I personally would start a new character.
No need for New Game Plus, no character resets. No need to rebuy the entire game. You can buy the DLC on it's own in the Playstation store.
The DLC takes place in an area separate from the main game. When you've got it installed a method of getting there appears. It's not a standalone though, you enter the area through the base game.

Oh really when?I would strongly recommend not doing the dlc for the first time on New Game plus.
I did. It was....interesting.
Oh really when?Yeah, I started a new game so I could go into the DLC without unneccesary trouble.
Final boss is still hard as nuclear nails though.
It's easier on a NG?
I did it on NG+ and it wasn't that hard. Though I couldn't beat OOK on NG+5.
Well, the enemies are lower level, for want of a better term. Actual difficulty depends on player character level or build and player skill, hard to determine, really.
How bad of a time you have depends on how bad of a dude(ette) you are.
But yes, of course NG makes the enemies less of a pain.
I still hate that tentacle face that guards the church door.
And the other one with the cannon.
And his friend too.
Just beat Bloodborne. The last of the main game bosses were not hard though Ebrietas gave me a bit of a challenge. Was baiting the headslam to attack and riposte the head but she kept charging me in some attempts. But the dlc... I've seen LP'ers and I know it's true but to finally experience it validated the stories. The angry baby of Kos is truly the hardest Bloodborne boss maybe even hardest within soulsborne. 36 deaths in 2 hours and 30 mins and I only won by the power of the magic pixel
"If music be the food of love, PLAY ON" - William ShakespeareI just got my PS 4 and now I can play Bloodborne!
This ain't my first Soulsborne rodeo. That would be Dark Souls.
You gotta start somewhere.Have fun and make sure to learn how to parry.
I need a new sig.Say Hello to Logarius if you meet him and tell him to go burn in hell from me.
God dammit now i want to play this game again. I can't get enough of the parry animation.
"when you stare too long into the abyss, Xehanort takes advantage of the distraction to break into your house and steal all your shit."Ahh, fresh blood arrives at Yermum, err, Yharnam.
Just remember that the idea of "poise" barely exists outside of large foes, there are only two shields in the entire game and they're not very good and there's no self refilling Estus, but Blood Vials are easy to come by to offset that.
Also parrying can be hard, but rewarding.
Also also; clothes offer minimal damage resistance unless stacking for something specific like poison resistance, so feel free to style as hard as you want.
If you are unsure about trying Arcane or Bloodtinge attacks, just ignoring those two stats is completely viable to carry you through the game.
Arcane and Bloodtinge have a rough start due to limited weapons that utilize those stats effectively until a little further into the game.
Also, backstabbing works diffrently in this game. It's charged R2 attack in the back, then R1, not just r1 in the back
"when you stare too long into the abyss, Xehanort takes advantage of the distraction to break into your house and steal all your shit."Oh right, that too.
Unless you use Augur of Ebrietas.
Then you just tentacle slap them and then pull their spine out.
I'm not sure. Miyazaki has said he's done with the Soulsborne type games for a while. I think he might be working on a new Armored Core.
Oh really when?
