then what about the episodic ones that have no continuity whatsoever? will it be considered crap to you?

MIAGrammar, please.
I don't think there are many action shows that are primarily episodic anymore...
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.fixed
MIAHaving a mostly episodic cartoon series is perfectly fine if it's a comedy-based show with actually good jokes and characters.
It's sort of hard to deny, however, that a lot of cartoons moving towards a more story-centric approach makes sense because well a lot of people just really like central stories with continuities and consequences.
That doesn't just apply to adults. As a kid I really loved DBZ and Rurouni Kenshin because they had dramatic storylines with continuity that mattered from episode to episode. It creates a sort of investment you simply don't get with a less story-centric show. Which doesn't mean that they're inherently better, just that they're different.
It's pretty bog standard yes.

i never like dbz too be honest with you simply because of the gender dynamics and filler. and with cartoons becoming more story based, yes it's true that having a story is somewhat of a good thing i can't help but feel disinterested in it. now don't get me wrong, i love a good story but if more cartoons end up just like the live action bog fest that infest television, then i'm out.
MIALive Actio-...you mean slice of life or what...
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.The original show wasn't the best show on CN, but they didn't care. Ben 10 was Cartoon Network's only original action cartoon at a time when action cartoons really did draw in the big numbers, and they wanted to anchor themselves to it for as long as possible.
I never got into Ben 10 but, as with most of you, I don't think it was awful or anything. It just didn't do anything for me. As a toyetic cartoon, it seemed pretty well constructed to be a very toyetic cartoon (what with all Ben's alien forms, which is better then trying to come up with five different Batman outfits so you can actually have a line of figures), though I don't know how popular the toys ever got. I'm fine with them reinventing it (again) if they feel like it, just so long as they don't show it 20 times a day.
Like I said, basically just seems to be the Transformers of its generation.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.you know, the walking dead, breaking bad, game of thrones, etc. you know any live action drama you can think of.

MIASo Adventure Time has been confirmed to end on with season nine in 2018. Gumball will end with its sixth season (unless CN is dumb enough to keep it going without Bocquelet), and Regular Show is already in its last season.
I'm now kinda scared that this will lead to an end of an era for CN.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?I'm more afraid that after these shows end, CN will make some shows that are either mixed, or downright awful, as well as making decisions that would almost get the network shut down. After all, those who don't learn from history, are doomed to repeat it.
I doubt it'll be shut down, but I have hopes they'll be able to continue. Mighty Magiswords already looks really good, I'd love them to make more shows like that.
I forget, are they gonna make Lakewood Plaza Turbo into a show or just keep it as an app game?
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?I thought it was picked up for a series, but I dunno. Why would Ian Jones-Quartey have left Steven Universe if his pilot was only being developed into an app game?
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.[deleted]

MIAHe doesn't see it as "only being developed into an app game". A TV pilot was produced, as well as several shorts from different studios. His show was the first of CN's new business model of greenlighting a world that exists in several media platforms, instead of a linear TV series.
please stop forcing your story idea into every unrelated thread possible
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.Mighty Magiswords is that show where Egoraptor is doing a bunch of voices, right? I'll probably check it out.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with? From what I know, Arin Hanson voices a recurring villain character, and Ninja Sex Party perform the theme.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Oooh, that's gonna be an awkward Credit.
"Mommy, what does NSP mean? Their music rocks!" "Oh, I don't know. Let's look it up!"
In all seriousness, though, I do look forward to the show. The Internet shorts weren't bad, although they weren't the absolute best.
The new 10s revival was an important era for CN, but old stuff will always get replaced by new stuff. Such is the way of things. Justice League Action is coming.
Story makes it interesting
mindless action is boring
New theme music also a box
