Have you watched any Cinema Sins videos before?
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Uuuuh yah.
Dammit, that character does not have telekinesis.
Video Game Census. Please contribute.I think Jeremy confused telekinesis and telepathy: his brain must still be a bit scrambled from watching Petes Dragon last week, for which I don't blame him. I saw the remake yesterday, and it's so much better than the original that there's no point in trying to compare them.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"To be fair, him confusing telekinesis and telepathy is a running gag at this point. See Mortal Kombat, X Men.

Meh, I stopped watching the Hellboy review halfway through. Not Jeremy's best work.
Is not impressed. Here's a movie based on a book with a great ending that Hollywood keeps fucking up. I Am Legend
I actually preferred the ending I saw in theaters.
I actually think, ending debate aside, this is actually been Will Smith's best acting role in his career.
I... wouldn't disagree with that.

Ceterum censeo Morbillivirum esse eradicandum.I liked the original ending (which is included on the DVD bonus features) over the theatrical ending on account of the fact that it actually addresses a key plot point of the story and one that the theatrical cut never actually removed the foreshadowing for: the zombies vampires are thinking, social creatures.
Neville indicates throughout the film that he considers them to be mindless beasts but the events of the movie conspire to prove him wrong, with the most glaring problem actually being Sinned on this video: the trap. Jeremy asked who set up the snare that grabs Neville halfway through the movie.
The vampires did. They moved the mannequin as bait and set the trap as a perfect imitation of the snare Neville used previously in the film to capture his test subject. They learned how to build a snare trap by observing Neville because they are intelligent beings. And in the end, they're ripping through his home in full-scale Invasion Mode not because they're mindless, hungry predators but because he abducted one of their people and they want her back.
This is built up through the film and then completely fails to pay off in any appreciable way in the theatrical ending.
EDIT: But yes, it was one of Smith's best roles. This movie was his Castaway: the movie where he proved that he can be interesting and entertaining even without any other actors to bounce off of.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.Changing the ending also makes impact of name of the book/movie less impactful
There were enough changes that the story only had superficial resemblances to the book it took it's title off of. The fact that he found a cure, and the Dark Seekers weren't anywhere near as civilized as the vampires in the book meant the title was always going to mean something different.
One of the subtleties that liked with the Original Cut ending too was they didn't beat you over the head explaining how Neville may have unintentionally crossed the Moral Event Horizon. It's all done visually when the camera pans over to the large number photos of the Darkseekers he's abducted and killed in the name of curing them.

I just would like to see an ending more in line with the book: Civilization is rebuilding, but it's a civilization of Vampires. With Neville as their Monster who walks the Day and prays on you while you sleep. And I dislike being a "The book is better" person.
I remember watching Dark Shadows when there was nothing else I wanted to see, and I enjoyed it. Even still, I though there were some issues like the father being an obstacle for no reason and the girl being a werewolf with no build-up.
That's one pretty shitty werewolf.
Worldbuilding is fun, writing is a choreThat other good M. Night movie (aka Unbreakable)
Oooooh. Hoping for Blade II and especially Trinity.
Man, he genuinely did not like Blade. And yeah, it's aggressively 90s but it's still damn enjoyable.

I don't know, I think he enjoyed it pretty well. Like, I was expecting him to sin the hell out of the climax where Deacon Frost absorbs the power of the blood god and becomes, like, the blood god manifest or something as demonstrated by really shitty 90's CGI, just before his infinite unstoppable power is defeated by Blade stabbing him a few times but he barely even touched that part.
Seriously, he goes down so hard it's a wonder why anyone was ever concerned about it in the first place. Maybe the blood god ought to do some pushups before it tries conquering the world or whatever it was doing again.

Long opening vanity plates are trivial. They're barely worth complaining about.
