The Entertainment Weekly thing turned out to be true based on today's Kickstarter announcement! Felicia Day is Kinga Forrester, Hampton Yount and Baron Vaughn are our new 'bots, and—much to my excitement—there will be a henchman to play off of our new Mad, who has yet to be announced.
(Turns out Joel spilled the beans because he doesn't like keeping secrets. Go figure.)

Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.eeeee Felicia Day!
Can Felicia Day do Large Ham? Most of what I've seen her do comedy-wise has been based on adorkability or awkwardness. Not That There's Anything Wrong with That, but it seems to me that a Mad ought to serve up large, thick slices of delicious ham.
If anyone can point me to roles where she was good and hammy, I would appreciate it.
(Though I gotta say, "Kinga" seems like a name ripe for beautiful/horrible/beautifully horrible puns.)
Also worth noting that Joel added two more challenges.
- If we can raise $2.75M before the Turkey Day marathon starts, then Joel will throw in three more classic episodes for everyone who donates more than $35.
- If we can raise $3.3M by the end of the Turkey Day marathon, then... umm...
I don't want to get ahead of myself, so I'll tell you about that challenge in another update this week. Hardcore MSTies, I'll just give you a little hint: if you help us make the newest episodes of MST 3 K, you might just get to see the oldest episodes of MST 3 K.
Oh my god. The missing episodes. He's gonna do it.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.HE'S GONNA DO IT, GUYS!!!
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?So it's unclear among the people in the stream chat if the Turkey Day 3.3 mil challenge was until the end of the marathon, midnight ET, or midnight PT.
They did get 3 million by the end of the marathon, but less than ten thousand over that.

Fresh-eyed movie blogThe Turkey Day Challenge and the Add-on sale has been extended to Cyber Monday.
The add-ons have raised an extra 85k but while it counts towards the ks goal it doesn't count for the turkey day challenge.
Any chance that number's gonna show up on the Big Board? It's weird to me that we're basically in 3.2mm territory but the KS doesn't reflect that.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies. The new Henchman hes been revealed.
For those too lazy to click (spoiler ahead): It's Patton Oswalt who will be playing Tv's Son of Tv's Frank
Ooh, I can see that role fitting him like a glove.
Trump delenda estGoddammit, Felicia Day and Patton Oswald? This is seriously hitting all my buttons.
And "TV's Son of TV's Frank" is seriously the best name ever.
Aaaaaaaah Joel why are you recruiting so many jerks
(I mean I dunno what Jonah Ray is like but everyone I've seen talk about him seems to think he's a jerk)
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.I seem to recall from when I listened to the Nerdist they'd occasionally talk about fan reactions and the idea that a lot of listeners think Jonah's a jerk because his comedy style on the show involves a lot of digs at his friends or something.
And something something, Matt and Jonah are basically opposite when the mics are off.

Fresh-eyed movie blogFour days left and we're still 300k shy of nine episodes. If we don't hit that amount, this'll be the shortest season of MST 3 K ever.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.Eh i'm not worried about the 9 i'm more worried we might miss the 12.
Even taking into account the 11th hour backer burst we're hoping to make 1.1 million in 1-2 days
SO! Lots of big news today!
MUSIC:
- Charlie Erickson, dude who wrote the original opening and closing themes, is back with new arrangements and maybe songs?
- Also they got fucking Robert Lopez—Robert "Frozen, Book of Mormon, Avenue Q" Lopez—to do new songs. Holy shit.
ALUMNI:
- Did you know Channel 101 guy Rob Schrab wrote for the original show? Neither did I! And he's coming back.
- Beez McKeever! Lots of cute little robot outfits forever
- Crist Ballas! Sci-fi monster makeup!
GUEST WRITERS:
- Community guy Dan Harmon and fellow Rick and Morty guy Justin Roiland!
- Sabrina the Teenage Witch creator, current Muppet writer, and Letterman alumni Nell Scovell! (Also wrote for one of my all-time favorite series no one's heard of, The War Next Door)
- Ready Player One guy Ernie Cline!
- Paul and Storm! They're a band! I know this because they join Jonathan Coulton sometimes
- Dana Gould! He's apparently famous for stuff. I dunno.

Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies. How much has it been funded?
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Seriously, Rick and Morty and the first three seasons of Community are a goddamn treasure.
We just hit nine episodes worth! So we have, like, two and a half days to raise the additional $1.1 million needed to get us to twelve.
So, um, we're probably just gonna get nine episodes. Which is way better than the six I assumed we were gonna get.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.SOMEBODY GET A MILLION DOLLARS ALREADY.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?I mean. There's gonna be a telethon livestream on Friday? And a lot of Joel's famous friends will be showing up? I guess with that strong a push we could, I dunno, scrape together enough for 10 or 11 episodes.
12 seems like a serious longshot, though.

Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.I say wait and see how fast it gets once it hits 48 hours cause that's when notification of it ending goes out and the last minute backers really start to jump on.
Speaking of Turkey Day
