Mercenary Day festivities.
Festive enemies, ammo discounts.....THIS IS THE BEST MERCENARY DAY EVER!
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117About the same, yeah. Same semi-dark humor, same pop culture references, since it's a midquel you get to see how some people came up in the BLU.
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117ION, I suggest you all clear your calendars.
Milady will be arriving on the 27th.
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117I never grind three purples anyway, because you never get anything good out of it.
This is weird...I have the season pass, but Aurelia still isn't showing up.
They usually don't update the PSN until 4-5PM EST.
Just finished a quick run to level 3 with milady. The ice thing is interesting, but when I hit ice enemies, it's gonna be eh.
And I love and hate her melee attack. It's a slap, but she winds up for a sec. Like she raises her hand and then strikes. Fits the character perfectly, but it took me a while to do that "open the door to your Oz kit" mission because I couldn't get the timing down.
And.....this is gonna offend, but I'm putting it out there.....am I the only person looking at Aurelia and thinking, "She's trans"?
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117I don't get that feeling. Though she's certainly got some somewhat masculine qualities about her. At least in the looks department.
Digging her so far, it feels good to have a proper sniper again.
Played some more, killed Deadlift. He was so much easier than he was with Athena.
I also really like her power. One of my favorites in the series so far I think.

Oh really when?Hey, anyone else getting this bug?
I played with some settings cause for some reason my graphics were set as low as possible but now for some reason no loot spawns. Nothing in lockers or boxes, no drops, no nothing. Not even plot items.
It's really odd.
Oh really when? What's Aurellia's power do?
She tosses a little diamond thing that hovers above an enemy and hits them with constant cold damage. The diamond only leaves that enemy if the enemy dies or if you get another enemy under your crosshairs and hit....I think R3, but I'm not sure. It bounces from enemy to enemy until there's no one around left to freeze.
The game calls it a "diadem", but that's a diamond worn on the head in a crown, and the Lady Hammerlock wears this thing on her wrist.
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117I really like it.
Also this is just a pet theory but does anyone else get the suspicion that she's not as rich as she says she is? At least not anymore?
Why would she go looking for the vault if she's got so much money? And why would she bother Hammerlock asking for a place to stay? Surely she could just move a turbo mansion into orbit with the kinda cash she claims to have.
Oh really when?Well, the official story is she was vacationing and just got caught up in the BL 1.5 events. I don't think she needed a place to stay, she just sent a message to Alistair that said "gonna be in your neck of the universe, wanna hang?"
She's not a vault hunter per se, hell, she tells Zarpedon point blank she's only going to kill her for fun. "Nothing personal, dahling, I just bore easily."
Which raises another question: In the trailer, little brother says she's not really evil, but how is "I'm going to kill you to assuage my personal ennui" not evil?
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117... Well most of the VH's legit kill things to just stave off boredom
Journey into Claptrap's brain. Yay.
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117So Claptastic Voyage is out. It's been about a week, I think? Finally beat it; I made the mistake of doing it solo on Ultimate, so most of the bosses took me at least three tries.
Glitch weapons are awesome, and the story is almost shockingly deep for what seemed like the most random plot start ever. Definitely very good.
I haven't reached level 70 yet, but I think what Le Garcon said way back when is going to turn out to be true. At max level, there aren't enough things to spend points on, so all the builds are gonna be pretty much the same.
Unfortunately that's how I felt with the last level raise. One of my biggest issues with borderlands (specifically 2) is how much time you needed to invest in order to really get to what makes a character unique you need to invest A LOT of time. For the most part, TPS averted that by frontloading the game changing skills and making the rest of the tree skills that kept it viable. TVHM was more about builds since you could try out new builds gradually. The level caps are kind of a tradition but don't really work for TPS' game design.
nyo ho hoKinda glad I didn't chip out of a season pass now.
Hm? They already finished the season anyway, didn't they?
So the game had only one adventure DLC?
REALLY glad I didn't pick up the season pass.
Finally got around to finishing the game today. I think that the Empyrean Sentinel is the hardest final boss of the three.
It's odd to me that we never actually see Jack with the mask, we only see the reason he dons it.
Strike that, there's a stinger.

Should this be bumped as a general Borderlands discussion?
I've gotten into BD 1 lately and it's so starkly different from TPS and BD 2.
The environments are a little more dull and there's less overall weapon variety, and sadly no Jack, but everything else feels so much better. Graphics have aged well, there's not any Burchisms in the dialogue or characters at all, the gunplay feels more satisfying than before, and the characters' powers feel more satisfying and unique.
Anyone else feel the same way?
"By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion."
Finally they bring back the B2 vault hunters
Zero showing up in Tales made me so happy
