"I-I can do it..." Noiri muttered as she ducked under the covers. A few seconds later, she reached her arm out from underneath the warmth of the blankets, holding the shirt and shorts she slept in, drenched in sweat.

"It's-a-secret," Ai repeated.

She grabbed and clung onto Charisse's arm.

"This way," she said, leading Charisse forward.

Ai led the way. It was clear that Ai knew exactly where she was going and how to get around; she had lived near Vale and visited it frequently for years before coming to Beacon.

After a protracted journey through the Vale public transport system, they arrived at the docks of the commercial district, looking out at the island of Patch. It seemed that even the docks had been decked out in Lovers' Day decor.

"When I went to Signal, I would take the ferry between Patch and Vale every now and then, usually to visit my brother, who lives here in Vale," said Ai. "So I thought we'd go on a little cruise. And since Lexi's paying, we can go on a restaurant ferry. I'm not made of money, you know."

"Ah, so you were one of those people who what attacked us back then. And I think she's just having a hard time believing you'd come up and talk to us so casually." Braun said with a shrug and a smile. "I'm a bit shocked as well, truth be told."

"Of course I like you!" giggled Nora. "You're funny~! It's just I want to break your legs too, of course."

Thorin laughed. "That's my girl!"

Mina nodded. "Ah. Well, no need to be confused. It's just that I was on-duty that day, and today I'm not."

She took another bite. "I mean, it's a job. It was nothing personal."

"Jeez. At this rate, gonna need a whole rack o' towels...." Noa grumbled as she tossed Noiri's clothes into the laundry basket. "Well, hold on. Ahm gonna run a lukewarm water bath fer ya. Can't be tryin' ta bring' yer temp down too quick."

She had experienced the hell that was icy water when suffering from a heavy fever. That was not something she would like to see happen to her partner.

"Don't be gettin' any funny ideas. Ahm bein' a friend here now, not some loose gal down on tha streets." She teased before she left the room to handle the bath. A few minutes later, she did indeed come back with a bunch of towels. "If ya ain't keen on bein' seen by me 'r anybody else, Ahm wrappin' ya up. Otherwise, I'm straight-liftin' ya."

She didn't mind sweat at all. In fact... Well, no need to dwell on that.

The magical feeling of Lover's Day was in the air, and besides making for easy stealing targets and guranteeing he won't starve for the next few days this magical feeling was good at one thing.

Making Alfred want to puke. While he wasn't one who liked putting others down for having a better life than him he just couldn't help himself when he saw shit like this. These people are all so ignorantfully blissful, to all the problems in the damn world. You'd think they've never seen any sort of hardship in their life.

He needed something to put this shit off, and the best idea was to of course do stupid shenanigans that would make the princess have a priceless expression on her face, which he already did once. He most definitly couldn't keep a poker face for long if he needed to.

And as a friend of Alexia's seems to have come he most certainly needs it now.

"Weiss Schnee, and you seem to know her Lexi, you have some good connections. Though maybe it should be obvious." He said pretty bitterly, a whiny heiress was most certainly not what he needed.

"Let me guess, the two of you were raised in the same fancy-ass school or combat-whatever-you-call 'em?"

"Well good luck with that," Mack said, shifting Veronica into gear. He took off and started heading towards the city in search of a place to drink.

"Right. I get it, I don't think it makes it any more comfortable for her, but I get what you're saying." He says. In truth, he didn't understand it at all, but there was no sense in trying to make heads or tails of her way of thinking.

Ghatz leaned back in his seat and relaxed. He had quite a bit to think about, and didn't feel like irritating the guys with it. Not now, at least. Namely how to handle this ridiculousness with Nora. Ghatz had nary a clue as to how he would go about things. He couldn't just say nothing and pretend nothing was happening. But at the same time, he didn't want shut down (or severely injured) as soon as he said something. Damn, this love garbage is complicated.

"Sweet ride, Mack." He commented off-handedly, before looking out of the window. "Where are we headed first, then?"

Throughout the entire trip over to the docks, Charisse felt a strange warm happiness welling up within her. She had been given the perfect chance to tell Ai, Lando and his court be praised.

The Valorans had a strange obsession with these frills streamers. She couldn't really speak for the city folk of Mistral, but they never did this sort of decorations back in her hometown.

"A restaurant ferry? It sounds nice." Charisse said absent-mindedly, as she looked at the ships on the docks. She shook her head, and regained focus. "If you say it's good, then lets go!"

"It's okay. Please be gentle..." Noiri asked as she slowly moved the blankets off her, revealing her unclothed body. She wasn't kidding about being gentle though, this trip is about to make her head spin. She closed her eyes and braced herself.

"Noa... I'm sorry for making you do this for me on Lover's Day."

"Well, I wouldn't know, I've never eaten here before. I just used to take the public ferry to get to Vale."

Ai linked with Charisse's arm again and walked with her to the gangplank, where Ai showed the staff the digital ticket on her scroll. Then, she turned to Charisse.

"Lead on," she said.

The Rose Arbor was a high class ship, one not normally frequented by people dressed like Charisse and Ai were. Charisse especially, what with her outfit being mostly comprised of farmer's clothes arranged somewhat. While they were out of place, the ticket Ai showed the concierge that these two, while looking like street trash, were clearly incredibly important nobility. Somehow.

She had checked twice, but everything about the e-ticket checked out. These two had the side of the noble family, people whom it wasn't a good idea to insult.

A table was expeditiously cleared for them on the busy sea-restaurant, right underneath a hanging especially opulent chandelier, which swayed gently as the ship did on the waves. A menu was quickly brought to them while the concierge alerted the chef de cuisine they were serving very important guests that day. Very important.

The other patrons whispered amongst themselves. Why would common folk such as these be allowed into such a high end establishment? Were they not usually turned away? It was appalling really. The pair evidently contrasted with their luxurious environment.

Charisse plopped down unceremoniously into the comfortable chair at the side of the table, and opened her menu.

She didn't recognize a single thing on this list; It took her a couple searches to find the water even.

"No idea," Mack said. "Hopefully a place that has beer. I haven't been around here so I got no clue where a good spot is. I'm just drivin' til I find something, unless you got a better idea."

"Hey now, them words ain't tha ones ya should usin' right now." Noa teased as she wrapped her partner up and gently lifted her with both arms in a bridal carry. She'd refrain from commenting on anything she saw, this was not the time and place for it. "And hey, yer mah one 'n only partnah, Ah ain't ever leavin' ya."

She'd kiss Noiri on the forehead if she didn't know it'd make her heat up even more.

"Up 'n at 'em. Hold on, it'll be quick."

She might've walked to the bathroom just a little faster than she should've, if only because she was trying to help her partner faster. Closing the door behind her, she saw that the water in the tub was close to reaching the right height. Turning off the faucets with her foot, she checkered the water temp and found it agreeable. Alright, this was going to require some delicacy. Noa unwrapped Noiri and slowly lowered her into the lukewarm water.

"Give it a bit. If ya want, Ah could get a sponge, too. No scented candles, though." She teased again.

Seafood

Kazumi just looked at the people.

WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THIS CIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITYYYYYYYYYYYYY!?'

Instead of voicing her scream, she just decided to smile and nod.

"I... See."

Alexia shook her head. "Ah...no. We've known each other since childhood."

Weiss Schnee looked at Alfred with a critical eye. "And who is this? Don't tell me he's your boyfriend?"

Alexia blushed and shook her head furiously. "He's my...my..."

Dust, she can't even talk properly!

Mina nodded, seemingly satisfied with the answer. She ate in silence for a few minutes, then asked...

"So. Are you two dating?"

Braun grinned wider than ever. This was a perfect time to tease Kazumi even more, and see that adorable flustered look on her face. "Why yes, madly in love too, we were planning to discuss what to do about our "first time."" He said, giving Mina a wink as he said "first time."

Alfred pinched the bridge of his nose as the princess failed her speech. "Man you're going to have a hard time as a queen." He sighed as he continued to talk "No I'm her bodyguard. We're just here on Lover's Day because she didn't have any other friend to go with or something like that. Also, as much as it sounds like a date I'm not really into romance. I ruin dates, I don't do them myself. " He changed his expression to small grin mid-sentence.

"And what are you, the prestigious Heiress of the Schnee Dust Company doing in Vale? Trying to get your family's greedy hands on more power?"

"WHAT!?" Kazumi all but screamed at Braun's statement. It seemed that it was simply impossible for her to stay calm in the presence of this person. "He's lying! Don't listen to him because he's a lying liar who lies!" Her face was blushing a deep shade of tomato red. "There's no way I would like an idiot like him!"

Alexia facepalmed. She was sure that Alfred's blunt statement wouldn't sit well with Weiss.

"Weiss, don't-!" she tried to intervene.

Too late.

The Schnee heiress turned her icy stare at Alfred. "Bodyguard? You? Hmmmph. She probably hired you out of pity. You don't look like you can guard a piece of meat, let alone a princess."

"And what I'm doing here is no concern of yours."

Mina nodded, a small amused smile gracing her face at Kazumi's outburst.

"I can really feel the love. Invite me to the wedding, will you?"

"She hired me out of her pride, because she thought she could changing me or something if you really wanna get at it." He said pretty bitterly, he wasn't an idiot enough to refuse a position pretty much guranteed he won't have many monetary problems for life but he still didn't like the princess trying to do what she did. "And you're right, I can't guard a piece of meat I'm better at stealing them even if I'm not proud of that."

"I protected you pretty well though."

He stared at her smugly before turning ti slight tears.

"Don't tell me you don't remember? It'd pain me to think that you forgot the only teenage boy in the squad who guarded you in Mnara'e two years ago." He burst in phony tears tears and an extremely fake expression of sadness on his face mid-sentence and "You're so cold it's no wonder you're the heiress to this cruel cold heritage." After stopping the tears he went back to his grin before putting another sarcastic comment.

"And maybe you're right, where you recruit mining slaves is of no concern to me Schnee. I was just making sure that's what you were doing."

Leaning over to fiddle with the radio, Glen said "I dinnae know this area all too well, so I doubt I'd be of any help finding a place. Though, I'd prefer it if we can find a place with decent food." After a flipping through a few stations, Glen eventually found one playing music he found tolerable and promptly sank back into his seat.

Braun smiled and nodded his head. "If it is possible, I will make sure you can attend, I hope you bless our child as well." Braun said with a wide grin, ready to dodge anything Kazumi threw at him.

Ghatz looked out the window, thoughtful, before snapping his fingers and pulling out his notebook. "Yeah, well. I don't intend on getting wasted like you people." He said, scribbling furiously. "Because I need to go to that scrapyard. I need parts for three different projects I'm working on."

Namely, the scooter, the goggles, and a new one he'd just thought of. "Whaddya think of this?" He said to Glen, showig him his sketch. "I'm thinking of making some modifications to my weapon." A sketch was done in his notebook, and it showed what appeared to be and extra hammer head on the other end of the hammer. A freaking rocket scientist, that Ghatz. It also would appear that he intends to make them transform into something else, but it's unknown what exactly.
