Not sure how it was intended, but the name and description imply this is only for a car's gas tank. Yet there are some gas cylinder examples shoehorned in. Should I cut those or do something else?

Er, there's nothing in the name or the description that make it sound like it's only about cars. I'm not sure where you're getting that.

[up]But only the last sentence is about something other than gas tanks.

There is no restriction to cars, that's for sure.

[up][up] No it's not. They talk about fuel tanks but there are many types of fuel a tank can hold and that doesn't require it to have anything to do with cars.

Is there anything else to discuss here? I think not.

There are some examples on the page that look like they belong in Exploding Barrels.

I don't know about that - most examples seem better at home here.

I agree with Septimus, I'm not seeing anything that could fit better in Exploding Barrels. I motion to close this

I believe the OP thinks this because that particular episode of Mythbusters is about shooting the gas tanks in cars. Which was busted, by the way. The troper who wrote the trope article is vague about which episode they are referring to, but to someone who has seen it, it is about vehicular tanks.

Not standalone fuel canisters or tanks.

Now, there was another about them trying to create an explosion with a propane tank. And another about make a propane rocket. They all took special rounds or extraordinary circumstances to work. (I had the flu and watched like every episode of Mythbusters one day...)

A simple expansion of the description should fix this issue with no trouble.

To me this sounds like the tactic of shooting a specific weak point of a vehicle to take it down in one shot. I'd probably say a gas cannister placed somewhere on a level would fit better on Exploding Barrels, while if it's the weak point of a vehicle it would go here. Shooting a flamethrower trooper in the tank would probably also go here.

[up]That's a better idea.
