Whenever I make a post/switch topics/pages, there seems to be a five-second period where it's just a white screen before taking me to where I need to go. This isn't my internet, because it's done the same for my computer, and the school computer.

Also, balls, I mis-titled the thread. SHIIIIIT.

I've been seeing this too. It looks like there's a mistyped line in the source code that makes the browser try to connect to "http". The line seems to be this one:

var src = '//http://ox-d.tvtropes.servedbyopenx.com/w/1.0/jstag?ef=db&nc=5376056-TVTropes';

It appears to be part of the advertising script, so the advertisers might have to fix it.

If that is what I'm reading it as, the slash in front of the http: leader appears to be the problem.

It's not just between posting. Between any time when it comes to forums. It actually gets annoying.

Yes, it definitely seems to be the problem - Firefox's Web console reports a 5-7 second delay on that request alone, and it occurs before Firefox actually displays anything of the page. (A simple thread view resulted in over 90 total requests, most of them related to advertisements, half of which occured after the page has effectively finished loading.)

Yeah, this is annoying. I'm not encountering it very often, though

Is there any major difference on different browsers or is this delay for all browsers?

It affects at least IE, Firefox, and Chrome, though length and frequency varies
