Poor Image: Inexplicable Treasure Chests

It's not a good sign if there's a link to a larger version of the image.

In fact, the image seems to be more (smallish) text-based than an image.

Perhaps a few shots of Link opening a large chest and getting the gadget needed to get through the dungeon?

There's not even any point to the entire upper half. The lower half is the one that addresses the trope.

I haven't read them, but I find the current god-awful and pullworthy. Hell, even a Zelda treasure chest in some weird location would be better. I found this in the examples, but it would have to be rearranged as so:

Not enough consensus in that second thread to justify going with the pic. I still like it.

Actually, I notice artifacts. I'm redoing it.

So, I rearranged the original, kept all the panels, and saved it as a PNG.

I have played the game so I know whats going on there, but I can't help but feel that it would look like the monster is just eating treasure chests to someone who has not played it.

A caption might help for those who are a little lost, as long as it makes it clear that this is a Womb Level.

I think the Jabu Jabu comic should keep the "map of my stomach" line for clarity. Otherwise, one could assume that it's some other kind of map (treasure map, world map, etc.) that he intends to vomit up later.

^^ ...which is totally also the trope anyway; this suggestion is that we add a frame because of some tiny text that's in it. If that text makes that big a difference, it might not be a good image. Note that I do not think the text makes a difference.

I meant the bit about vomiting it up more in the sense of "I'm going to stick this map into something (anything) that can keep it in one piece after I swallow it, and later, I'll bring it back up so I can use it, and it's never going to be found by an adventurer at all." Whereas with the text, it becomes clear that he intends for it to be found and used by someone else inside his stomach.

Yes, it is possible to come up with an explanation for how any image might be misconstrued. Wheres an argument about what is probable might be taken more seriously, an argument about what is possible risks being dismissed as a "red paint" argument, because "how do we know the liquid is blood and not red paint?"

I agree with #14, the information that it's a Womb Level can easily be in the caption, it helps but is not critical... like the caption suggested in #17, which I second or whatever.
