As Kyun said, mostly he'd just break the fourth wall and address the audience.
He still does.
"We be we baby!"First look at Daffy Duck and Porky Pig.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).Daffy is...daffy again, that's a so nice. They even used a different actor for him this time, not necessarily new...but it's better than before.
And Porky's going back to a bigger chubster...like he originally was, I'm not quite sure why they'd rather use that design.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.DAFFY AND PORKY ARE BACK YOSH-let's not look a gift horse in the mouth, they might bring Elmer back next...in five years-HE CAN USE A LASER DAMMIT!
......
... I think I just found my absolute most favorite thing about this show!! XD XD
This is an episode without Bugs, right?
I don't really like Porky's new look, but at least the clip is funny.
It's more of an old look...but the face ish different.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Heh, Porky really let himself go after The Looney Tunes Show, didn't he?
But in all honesty, that clip was pretty good. I have a feeling that Daffy might become one of the more popular aspects about this show. (As opposed to the opposite in the last show.)
"I shall not be foolish again, my dear Gwendolyn!"TLTS Daffy was more of a Base Breaker, I think. I liked him a lot other than in the episode about Porky and the boat, where I thought he crossed the line into Dude, Not Funny!

The Quack is back! I do hope that if Bugs and Daffy ever do meet again in this, it's still going to be insane and well Daffy. It could be a match between who annoys Yosemite Sam the most. Bugs' trickster disguise brand of comedy, or Daffy's Reality Warping comedy.
"We be we baby!"Man, that clip was really good.
Makes me wonder, when was the last time Daffy was, well, daffy?
I've always wanted Bugs and old-school Daffy to meet up (the closest we ever got to it was Falling Hare, with the Gremlin's Daffy-inspired antics), so I hope he has an appearance where it's just the two of them and he keeps this personality.
Daffy's Rhapsody, I think. Though that more fuses his various personalities.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. Can someone please tell me again why we don't have a CGI Looney Tunes movie by now??
Because every time WB tries it they screw up, and then blame the brand and decide not to do anything with it for a while. It's why Looney Tunes has taken so long to refind its footing these days.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. The clip is funny, and it's great to see a wild and wacky Daffy again. Porky, though...I wouldn't have known that WAS Porky until he started talking. I mean, okay, if there's a pig in a WB cartoon, it's probably Porky, but he looks almost nothing like any version of Porky, ever.
Very early Golden Age Porky looked like that, actually. Elmer also had a 'fat' stage just like it.
I know the versions you're talking about, and I disagree. Fat Porky didn't really look much like the Porky in the clip. They really only resemble each other in that they're both chubby cartoon pigs. The shape of the face is entirely different (classic fat Porky had a very circular face, with smaller jowls) and ,while they've given him back a version of the ballcap he occasionally wore, he's not in his iconic jacket-and-bowtie, either.
I'll admit, though, that the problem is entirely mine. For, like a half a second when the clip started, before Porky spoke, I thought "Who is that?" He just didn't read as Porky for me. With the sound off, for me, with this design, it ain't Porky.

I think it's because no one in charge thinks the Looney Tunes are relevant to today's audiences anymore. Of course, a lot of that (not ALL of that) is the fault of Warner Bros themselves not doing enough with them and not understanding what made them popular.
Not even.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Tom Ruegger stated once that the fall of Warner Bros. wacky cartoon comedy was caused by Pokemon and other similar anime game-based franchises stealing their thunder.
Well, by now the Pokemon anime (Go! beinga wholly different thing altogether) fever has long passed by, and even anime as a whole is mostly dead in the American mainstream, and animation networks choose to focus on homemade comedies, yet Looney Tunes haven't made a real comeback in full force.
Everyone did that...that didn't stop them from giving him little creatures to talk to before.
