The Battle Of Wills - Crossover RP

Team 1

"...I, I... settlement in these... tunnels. Refugees from the city... demons out there... but something lurking here... killed my sister... bitten her..." The teen choked a little, grief and fear adding up to his exhaustion. "... ripped her whole head and sp-pine... p-piece by pie-oh God, I'll be a good... good man, I-I swear, just let me..." The boy degraded into blubbering mess of tears, completely terror-struck.

At the same time a rather uneasy atmosphere filled the stagnant air of the tunnels. Something indeed lurked there... and it was not that far away.

"More nourishment..." The distorted, deep voice murmured from the dark.

The sudden laptop block caught Allistair off-guard if a baffled groan was anything to go by. This allowed to hit him dead center with Aqua Rhapsody, sending him flying backwards through the corridor. He gathered himself soon after. "You spellcasters, always such troublesome to deal with up close." He mumbled, sheathing the knife and pulling out another weapon from under his poncho - a small pistol. Without further ado, he pulled the trigger, firing a couple of bullets in her direction.

"Exactly what I wanted to hear, Mr. Taggart." Sammael's smile showed up once again, but this time, weirdly enough, seemed genuine. "If that is the case, you will need some down time before springing back into action. Raphael and Gabriel will be waiting for you outside, they shall lead you to your quarters and patch you up. Any further questions?"

"I have no reason to not trust you, man." Night Shooter grinned. "In fact, go right for it. How about we meet up in some other circumstances one day? That way we can have a good fight where no Beaners will be 'round to interrupt us, because something tells me, Mr. Cecil, that we'll run into one another soon enough." With those final words, the skull-headed demon gave Guy a salute as his flamecycle appeared out of ether riding full speed towards pursuing cops. Night Shooter jumped right at it, driving off the truck and through the chase, causing general chaos and law enforcers themselves to slow down.

The road block was still in the way however.

Viktor was confused and thought that this whole "disguise" idea his teammates came up with would go down to the drain due to the fact that due to his hextech augmentations,disguising as him would in no way work at all.

Before he could say his thoughts,he saw as some severely malnourishd young person,which he first calculated was a undead like the goldbaum they tried to fight,it turned out he was a fully alive person...if he could last this long without food...it rather reminded him of seeing theorphans and those homeless kids who aren't strong enough to rise in Noxus,having visited the city due to political meetings in the Zaunite and Noxian relation.

He found the team trying to help the malnourished man a bad idea and a waste of time,not because he didn't even cared about the young boy,but because they are sitting ducks staying in this darkness against ambushes.

And hearing a distorted voice talking about nourishment near confirmed his line of thought.

He readied up his hextech devices in case,looking around for any sort of ambush or attack from wherever the voice is coming from.

Team 3

At that time I wasn't, nor even to this day, sure if the actual genuine smile was more or less terrifying than the joyless one Sammael was showing earlier. But it certainly was not a comfort to me. But I would learn soon enough what that smile meant.

When asked if there was anything else I wanted to to know, I looked down to Marisa and Sypha if they wanted to speak first before I said something. I could have asked if they had a porn shop, but I figured I was wearing thin the good will already.

"Do you have an armory? Preferably one with anti-infantry rockets and plasma cells. I need to refill" I asked, although I was already expecting a no on both. Conventional infantry-carried rocket launcher ammo was anti-tank (where as you can count the amount of ground vehicles in space on one hand, none of them heavily armored) and I would be lucky if they had the technology to make plasma. But nothing is out of chance.

Once that was answered, I would leave to meet the two awaiting us outside, and hopefully I could get shower. Demon blood smells like shit.

Team 1

Nightcrawler gritted his teeth, hissing at the darkness. "Another ambush. We must not stand around and act as a target this time!" He moved forward, holding out his hand for the boy. "Do not be scared of my appearance, child. I mean you no harm. Now, take my hand." His head snapped towards Sheik. "Fraulein! Lead us out of this cave and away from this looming enemy!"

Team 3

"I accept this alternative," Sypha said and then left Sammael's sight... She would follow Taggart and meet with the two outside soon enough. She did not care that it was a test, but she was at least glad there was an alternative other than killing tricked people.

Team 1

"Then it seems our choice has been made for us." Sheik nodded to Nightcrawler. Throwing the needles in her hand at the unknown enemy, the Sheikah motioned for everyone to follow her down the far right tunnel.

Team 4

Veigar, still in the cab of the giant truck, saw the blockade they were coming onto. While the thing might push through, it could use some help. "Take this!" So Veigar waved his wand to summon a Meteor onto the blockade.

Team 1

The boy listened without hesitation, taking Kurt's hand. Seemed like Nightcrawler's appearance wasn't that scary compared to the unknown threat looming in the dark.

Speaking of which, the moment the needles where thrown the aggressor made its move, swiftly shortening the distance between itself and the party in a one long swoop, its limbs stretching around to help its movement. A couple of needles got stuck in its slender yet muscular torso to no avail as it hunched backwards, its limbs long whips, staring the party down◊.

"Strong ones. Good. More lively... more sating." It spoke, straightening itself for a brief moment and then hunching forwards, much taller than any of the party.

MERKAVA, THE SENTIENT VOID

"Energy weaponry is still mostly experimental, but you can ask Akrasiel about it. Perhaps he has something. Worry not for the amount of explosive ordnance however, there is enough." Sammael responded to Doomguy's query. "If by chance there'll be some other weapon that will catch your eye, feel free to equip it."

Meanwhile, outside waited two young looking men: one of them in a flowery white shirt, with long blond hair knotted into a ponytail, the other - with a heavy-looking lab coat and a cig in his mouth, looking generally displeased. Upon seeing the party leaving, the blond smiled. "You're the ones Michael scooped out from Purgatorio earlier today, right? Pleasure to meet you, name's Gabriel. The grump over there's Raphael." Lab-coat wearing man just murmured something undecipherable, likely a greeting. "Guess we'll start with patching you up. Any questions before we set off?"

Giant meteors falling from the sky are particularly powerful breaking tools. Before anyone could react or shake off the shock the giant space rock went right into the middle of blockade, squishing cars and humans alike into bloody scrap mess, allowing the truck a safe passage.

Well, for a given value of safe, considering they've still been speeding through the town with a giant 18-wheeler at full speeds.

Team 4

"Good work!" Henno said out loud as he drove through the busted roadblock.

I didn't like what happened here, but it's either us being alive or dead permanently.

The SAS operator wondered if there is some place to stop.

Team 4

After watching Night Shooter disappear to wherever, Guy took a moment or two to relax. The man had been powerful, he was probably as strong as one of the God Generals. If the fight had gone on any longer, he probably wouldn't have survived.

With some difficulty, he dropped into the passenger seat of the truck, being careful to avoid use of his injured arm. "That was some fancy driving. And some impressive spellwork as well. Thanks for the support."

Team 2

"Then why don't you just stay over there! Shine Aqua Illusion!" Sailor Mercury battled Allistair's bullets with her own icy blast, willing it to keep pushing against him. If she could only freeze Allistair, she could finally help the rest of her team and get out.

Team 4

Veigar crossed his arms and looked away. "Don't expect me to save our asses every time we get into a jam." But Veigar's mind wandered back to the meteor he'd summoned it was larger than it was supposed to be. How could that have happened? He didn't put any extra efforts into the spell, that was particularly dangerous anyway. The sky in this place must have an excess of Dark Matter above it.

Sheik's only response to the creature was a Deku nut on the tunnel wall, around its eye level. She had no plan to fight the thing directly; they couldn't risk losing the civilian in the crossfire.

"We cannot risk direct confrontation! Fight when you must, but keep moving!"

Link

Link didn't think they may be able to outrun the monster... not with the young man in their care and the seeming agility of the beast. Still, if it would give Sheik time to put the young boy to safety, there was but one course of action.

Unsheathing her blade, Link stared out at the creature and jumped into the fray, shield held up before her as she kept her blade back... staring at the whiplike arms and preparing to slice them off should they attack.

Team 3

Giving the two new guides a look over, I was still feeling very skeptical as they were certainly less that what my mental image of the two had thought, even less so than of Michael and Samuel. But at this point I was committed, and I certainly didn't want to piss off Raphael if he was going to stitch me back up.

"Yep, that's us. A sorry set of sinners" I wondered how well that joke would go by, or how Sypha will take being called a sinner "I don't have any questions, but then I assume I'll be getting what I want soon enough"

Team 1

It moved as soon as Sheik threw her Deku nut, closing the distance in a frighteningly swift move, seemingly not phased at all by a blinding projectile. While the closeness of the walls disallowed it more intricate acrobatics this was a double-edged sword aimed at its enemies as well, something Merkava hoped could be exploited.

Its whips snapped back and then forwards at great speeds, a barrage of bizarre punches thankfully stopped by Link's shield. The sheer force of them however would be enough to throw her off balance, allowing Merkava another move... and it hungered for the prey not yet finished.

The creature moved backwards, this time trying to use its limbs to slam the Hyrulian swordswoman as if it was a powerful, crushing mace.

"Annoying." The skeletal mercenary mumbled in displeasure as he moved forward in a wild jump before rolling to safety to where Murphy was located, firing a couple more shots at Sailor Mercury in the meantime.

Not soon after a familiar ghoulish figure emerged from the elevator, now completely free of the ice. "Alright, girly, this is round two!" Greenblade shouted, pushing the button on the handle of his scrap sword. The patchwork blade lighted with fire as the other merc made a wild charge towards Ami, intent on slashing her to bits.

Unfortunately for The Truck Trio there was seemingly no place to stop at all: they were still in the middle of the city, perhaps not pursued any longer, but likely clearly recognized and chased once local law enforcers get reorganized...

But something had to change eventually. That something was... a motorbike and its rider, a leather-clothed dark blonde slowly overtaking the truck on a particularly rickety cross. "Oi! SAS, Guy and Shrimp, right?! Finally found ya!" He shouted to the party stuffed inside the truck. "Ride through the Main Avenue and turn left on the second junction from here, Sarsaparilla Street! You can park there!"

As the strange creature appeared and talked,it reminded him of the void creatures that are imprisoned in the institute of war,such as the eye of the void or the voidreaver.

He didn't had much time to think when the creature moved in to attack the heavily armored woman,Viktor immediately throwed his power transfer device right at the creature and charged his death ray and unleashed it to it,attempting to hit Merkava with both abilities,while also making sure not to hurt Link by accident.

Team 4

"Better do what the man says. Be sure to be on guard."

Henno said before he did what he was told to do.

"I hope this leads up somewhere."

Team 1

Sheik grabbed the lad as her allies fought their enemy back. A boy his size should've significantly slowed her down, but his malnourishment made him lighter than a ceramic pot.

She tried not to think about it.

In another attempt to defend the boy, Sheik threw three more needles at the only part of Merkava where she had a clean shot: its head. She didn't stay to see in her strikes hit their mark, but carried the boy further into the far right tunnel.

"Unhgg!" Link cried out under the barrage of whips, unable to score a hit with her blade despite their thunderous assault. She had to thank the Goddesses for her shield... for it was the only thing holding her together. However, after a particularly vicious assault, Link felt her defense lacking... she was thrown off balance.

With a grunt, however, she prepared to teach this thing that she wasn't sorely a metal wall. She took advantage of the momentum hit upon her and took a leap back as far as her legs would take her, to try and avoid the crushing attack... and if she landed with enough grace as to not stumble, she would counter attack... rushing straight at the beast, shield held forward and her blade tip supported on top of it, ready to thrust right into the thing.

Team 3

"...No questions," Sypha said to the two, not reacting to being called a sinner.

Team 2

Ami continued to use her attack to block the rest of the bullets, but dropped it when Murphy charged at her with his now flaming sword. She quickly backed away until she ran into a wall, and then desperately threw up another smokescreen of cold fog. She was really starting to regret being the only non-martial artist on the team.

Team 1

Surprisingly, team's combined assault was enough to make Merkava reconsider going any further. Odd, considering that earlier attempts at hurting it proved ineffective. The void beast moved backwards after getting smacked with the power transfer device, narrowly dodging the following death ray and Sheik's needles.

It chose a wrong moment to counterattack either, getting stabbed by Link's sword thrust. Letting out a rather howling screech it proceeded to make use of this disadvantage, its jaw going to bite deep into her shoulder in response.

"Oh, come on!" Judging from the following lack of sounds, even Murphy wasn't stupid enough to just blindly run through the unknown.

"Alright, I think all three of us are getting sick and tired of this development." Allistair mentioned from behind the smokescreen. "My deal is this: you walk away, your associates - soon to be finally killed by frostbite - do not. You can then go in whatever direction you want, I honestly stopped caring."

"Alright then." Gabriel nodded, smiling. "Go with Raphael, he'll stitch you up first. As for you, ladies, please follow me." The blond adressed Marisa and Sypha as he turned to move. At the same time, the grumpy lab coat-wearer made about the same regarding Doomguy - just with less elegance and more necessity.

Team 2

Sailor Mercury slid down the wall onto the floor, relieved that they weren't trying to kill her. She could just leave and this whole thing would be over. But then she remembered Rock Lee face down on the floor, unmoving. And Joseph and Ranma were still frozen solid. She couldn't just leave them all...right? But Allistair was right. Ami could do nothing to help them, and she could barely keep herself from getting killed.

Silently, she stood up and walked over to the large ice block in the middle of the hall. She touched it with her hand and said a quiet apology before walking to the stairs.

"Fine..." Ami said. The fog cleared soon after, but by the time it was completely gone, she had already left.

"Ahhhggg! Hmmmng... grr..."

If there was one thing which Link had... it was determination. And sheer stubbornness. With a light growl, the young woman grit her teeth and with her blade already into her enemy, she forced it deeper into them... twisting it into the monster's insides, forcing herself forward even as she was being bitten... her chain mail doing little to stop the sharp teeth, but she could only hope that her magical blade would do more damage in the end.
