Hey! Does anyone remembered any books written and illustrated by Henrik Drescher? If you had, what were some of your favorite works by him and what did you liked or hated about his work?

I personally have read many works by Henrik Drescher and I really enjoyed his surreal artwork style in many books like Pat the Beastie and Klutz.

I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!

I also enjoyed his artwork in The Fool of the World and the Flying Ship as it was truly bizarre!

Pat the Beastie and *especially* Look-Alikes were a huge formative influence on me, maybe because I could recognise that they were weird, slightly unsettling books but did not feel threatened by the worlds that they presented.

I rooted for the Beastie at the end, in case you were wondering what kind of kid I was.

I'll hide your name inside a word and paint your eyes with false perception.

Oh yeah, I rooted for the Beastie at the end also (yeah, it was mean-spirited, but at the same time, those kids really deserved it)!

I also thought that his work on The Boy Who Ate Around was pretty decent since it was interesting seeing the different monsters that the boy turns into!
