Oh god, maybe they'll bring back Peter's girlfriend who he left in that one bad future, never to be seen or heard from again...
I don't know how Future Hiro is alive, unless this is just a Continuity Gag reboot that pretends a great deal of Heroes didn't happen, or happened a certain way.
Maybe Volumes 2-5 didn't happen at all.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Hiro was still alive at the end of the series, so why can't there be a future Hiro?
"It takes an idiot to do cool things, that's why it's cool" - Haruhara HarukoYes, but he looks just like a Hiro from an alternate future that never happened.
Trump delenda estIt's possible that Hiro simply has weird fashion choices. Maybe he purposefully takes up the appearance to try and look cool or intimidating.

That, in response to .
That Hiro died in Volume 1, IIRC. It could be a throwback, maybe Hiro (since the present Hiro still remembers his future self) chose the outfit. But I immediately thought, "Future Hiro!?"
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Well, according to the Trope Page for Heroes Reborn, yeah, this is indeed Claire's fault. And yet the Wikipedia page claims it's a terrorist attack in Texas that caused everyone to go into hiding. Maybe it's a little bit of both.

Ok, who let Light Yagami in here?Pages on this wiki are often filled with speculation, so who knows?
Point. In that case, until further notice, I'm going to assume Claire's big reveal played a part in what's gone down. Also that Peter did something and here we are.
Ok, who let Light Yagami in here?Among other things they said that the finale will pretty clearly explain what happened during the five years, and presumably what happened to the characters who aren't returning for the new show.
Hmm. Dipping back into anti-power dystopia again. An understandable but risky plot move. Still going to watch it but if it resembles the last time they did that my expectations are lowering.
Going by Dark Matters...yeah.
It's Claire's fault and supers are not only being hunted, but are discriminated against everywhere. Camps are mentioned in Russia and China.

Ok, who let Light Yagami in here? The hooded man in Dark Matters is Micah.

Ok, who let Light Yagami in here?Welp, it is definitely that. This... is not promising, given volume 4. Yes, they seem to be trying to replicate the original company, but that only worked when there was a somewhat hopeful tone for the other guys. I'm still going to watch it but my expectations are low.
Hiro has lost his powers. I mean, it's the only explanation for him not going back to the Carnival and dope slapping Claire, resolving the problem before it happens.
Ok, who let Light Yagami in here?
And per Word of God, the big event that happened is a terrorist attack in Texas killed a bunch of people and drove the world's superhumans into hiding.
Claire is also confirmed to have been McLeaned.
Damn. Girl isn't even around to see that fucked up.

Until further notice, I am going to assume the Bully Character's name is Flash.
Ok, who let Light Yagami in here?Well, I just binged the first two seasons of Heroes on Netflix. The second season wasn't that much worse than the first (not that the first wasn't bad, because it was pretty bad).
One of the things that I hated about Lost was how Kate was built up as some kind of awesome manipulative psychopath before the writers went JK, and then she just ended up being The Chick in this really lame love triangle. One of the things I hated about Heroes is that sort of thing happened a lot.
Watching these two seasons felt like reading 30 years worth of superhero comic books, with all retcons and inconsistent that are to be expected. The dialogue felt wooden and sometimes even off-putting. Subplots, and even characters, would be dropped with no explanation. Sometimes it just like the writers just didn't care.
People keep blaming the Writers' Strike for the decline of the show's quality, but the show was pretty shitty before that.
Really? Because I loved the first season of Heroes. It was critically accaimed, as well. You might not like it, but don't speak for everyone else.
I mean, I understand that the show dropped in quality by the time of Season 3 (and even Season 2 because of the writers strike), but that doesn't retroactively mean the first season was shitty.
Yeah, the show started its decline before the first season ended. It became apparent to me that after all this buildup and intrigue, they just didn't know what to do with it and I found the finale profoundly disappointing. And this is the ending they clearly knew about and had been planning for a while, it's not like they were scrambling.
... but even so, the second season was still a huge step down. Seriously, it was pretty goddamn awful. Versus S1, which at its worst was still "acceptably flawed."
The trailer looks just like a Darker and Edgier X Men. Which, I suppose, was the idea in the first place.

Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.I liked Season 1, the finale only disappointed when they tried to have an epic final battle and clearly people were just waltzing into the fight, but otherwise, it was solid.
Season 2 had good ideas and failed to deliver on them, and Season 3 gave Mohinder the Idiot Ball by turning him into a mad scientist.
Really, it's usually the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th seasons that fans complain about. And I liked Season 4, if just because the tables were turned from metahumans preying on humans, to humans preying on metahumans.
F'ck.
Seasons. Volumes.
Replace all those 'seasons' I used with 'volumes'.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!If anything, Season One has Christopher Eccleston as Claude, who is supremely awesome.
I consider the first season of Heroes to be like The Sixth Sense—the creators weren't getting worse, but their first projects were a miraculous high-quality accident they weren't otherwise capable of.
Did we ever find out how many Larters we're getting?
"But don't give up hope. Everyone is cured sooner or later. In the end we shall shoot you." - O'Brien, 1984
Like X-Men: Days of Future Past I expect there will be some Leaning on the Fourth Wall / Reality Subtext acknowledging the show's decline in quality. I'm imagining some like about how the Heroes had so much potential but then squandered it or something.
