I'd be interested in that sort of thing. I like pretty much anything involving fantasy. (I mean fantasy the genre, not you. Geez, stop thinking so highly of yourself, pal)
Thanks. Learning from last time, I figured I should get some interest before opening signups.

The graceless warrior, wielder of the edgeless blade, prophet of the old religions, writer of fluent nonsense, saviour of soul and song.I have poor luck with PBP, But i'll give it a try.
What books would be legal, and what level of power are you aiming for?

What I'm envisioning is basically combining all the books into one. So if you see a level 2 spell in 3rd edition that you like and another cool one from 4th edition - you can use them both. The same goes for classes - any specialty class you can find in a supplement is free to use. So you'll be seeing monsters from all over as well. Is that okay with everyone?
"You're an enemy of art and I pity your ignorance" - Domingo Montoya Help save the rainforest for free simply by going to Ecosia.org.I'm cool.

Interesting idea. So I'm assuming we're doing this systemless. Is that correct?
Sounds cool, although I'm not too familiar with 3rd edition. Will that be a problem?
If I know what I'm doing, then I'll do it amazingly. If I don't know what I'm doing, I'll fail spectacularly.I'm definitely interested. Not sure if I'd play a Cleric or a Rogue.
Interested here too
All right! Glad to see such interest in this. I will be posting a link to the actual signups in this thread so keep this thing on the watchlist or at least check it every so often.
@ doorhandle - Sort of. We're not playing by any one book (and we're not using dice or miniatures) but your spells/abilities need to be from an actual sourcebook and needs to match up with your character's current level (more on that below) and I'll be throwing monsters and enemies from a variety of DND sources at you.
@ Gravity - Not at all. Don't be worried about lack of experience. I'm designing this thing so anyone who hasn't even played Dungeons And Dragons before can have fun in this. And if you're stumped for character ideas, spells, equipment, and the like, there is a very useful fan-created wikia that is very helpful and I will most certainly be using it.
Also, I'm thinking of leveling up your characters after every completed quest, rather than an accumulation of monsters fought over time. Is this cool with everyone? Also, would you guys want a more story-oriented, combat-oriented, or dungeoncrawling-oriented type of game? Or a combination?
"You're an enemy of art and I pity your ignorance" - Domingo Montoya Help save the rainforest for free simply by going to Ecosia.org.I like story and some combat with the occasional dungeon. (Don't know for sure how long a dungeon will last if we're doing it play-by-post, but it might take forever)
I'd like a more story-oriented game, with some dungeoneering.
I'm very much a dungeon-crawler/hacker and slasher myself, but I don't mind story.
And leveling up after every quest sounds good.
Good point on that. If we do dungeons, thye would have to be short but dense. Like, maybe 3-5 setpeice encounters and maybe 1 random encounter if we decide to be silly and rest inside one.

I'm interested. My vote would be for something 3 parts story and 2 parts combat, especially if we are taking broad strokes with the rules. Would I be able to use Savage Species from 3.0? I always wanted to play one of the monsters. If not I may try to be a thri-kreen ninja or a changeling rogue.
How do you kill that which has no life?Interested!
I'd like something mainly focusing in story, with a bit of combat, and the occasional dungeon.
I have some interest.

Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)Absolutely. All sound like cool character ideas.
And I have now posted the Signup thread.

Would anyone be interested in doing a kind of mixing pot of all the Dn D versions out there fantasy campaign? I was thinking some good old dungeon crawling, monster battling, and maybe some character development. What do you guys think and, if you're interested, what suggestions do you have?
