Justice Avengers: A Black Day in Hub City

"We had the situation under control. And don't you worry about the demon thing, we got a deal worked out, he works for us for the moment. Speaking of, never did get your name."

   Who the fuck cares what it's name is?   

"I'm not walking around calling him demon thing, it sounds stupid."

   And as for you, Anarky, we've had problems with assholes trying to steal our rightfully stolen shit today. So, kick over that bag of money to us, and maybe we won't waste our ammo on you.   

"Where have we heard that name before?"

   Oh, for....figure it out when we're fucking done, for fucks sake! Who gives a shit?!

"Oh, the money? Sure" Anarky responded, as he descended from the window and landed on some crates (he was unafraid of Two-Face's gun as his costume was bulletproof. The Demon was another matter, though.) He then hurled the money bag over to the criminal. "I don't care about money. And I'm no hero, I follow my own agendas."

He then faced Etrigan. "What about you, creature? Who are you and who do you serve? And *chuckle* why the rhyming?"

Bucky watched Slade, until the sai in his arm was pointed out. He nearly visibly sighed before nodded, carefully stretching out that arm, a few faint whirs audible as several of the plates came apart apparently as much as they were able. He then reached over with his flesh arm to grip the end of the sai, shifting it a moment before pulling once, twice, and on the third it finally came loose, leaving a somewhat unattractive set of dents in that section of his forearm. He scrutinized this a moment, flexing his fingers as the panels on the arm moved again, but since the function still seemed to be there, he just took the sai in the metal hand, crushing the prongs together in a clear act of irritation.

He glanced over to Slade and Karate Kid, and just watched them, reaching up to raise his goggles just enough to blink at the rain, then put them back into place, sort of grumbling in what sounded like Russian.

Etrigan

The demon still looked mad but then he said to Anarky with calmness.

"I am the enforcer of the great sorcercerer. Whose name to discover you will have to undercover if my mistress whishes."

The to answer anarky's question about rhymes he simply said.

"A rhyme in the mind you will always remind you of your mate that is fate"

Etrigan then stood up and began to help two face's goons, with his great strenght he was able to carry faste te loot than them.

   Asshole.    Two Face said as the demon went to help the goons, who were clearly terrified of the demonic entity. Two Face picked up the bag with one hand, the other still aiming the gun at Anarky. "Now then, we really don't have time to stand here and have an extended conversation with you, we're kinda busy, as you can see."

   There's an easy solution to that, you know.   

"I'd rather not kill him before we have a better idea what kind of game he's playing."

   He's a dude calling himself Anarky running around in spandex with a big ass A on his chest! He's probably running around stirring up shit for shits and giggles! And I, for one, approve!   

"Of course." Two Face said in an annoyed tone. "So, are we going to have a problem here?" Two Face asked Anarky.

The Demon continued being mystifying, Anarky noted, but he did figure two things from talking to it: that his master was a sorceress, and that he was now serving Two-Face, for some reason. He would definitely need to discuss this with Madame Xanadu.

Then the scarred criminal addressed him, demanding to know if he was going to interfere in his heist. "As I told you, I don't care about money. You may proceed with your- activity. However, I'd like to ask you a question, if I may: why are you in Hub City? I thought Gotham was more your style." He doubted he would get a straight answer from the mentally-damaged man, but it was worth a try.

"We came to this city to get a fresh start without the Batman coming after us every time we tried to do anything."

   Fuck Gotham, and fuck Batman! We honestly don't care much what city we set up in. Gotham was convenient because we were already there, we knew the place, had shit set up with everyone not named Batman.   

"But sometimes, enough is enough. It was no longer as profitable to stay in Gotham as it would have been to move. We considered several city's, but decided on Hub City because of one thing."

   No hero's   

"At least, not any that seem to have had a significant impact."

"Yo, boss!" One of the goons yelled. "We're all good here!"

"That will have to satisfy you. We have to go." Two Face turned around and started walking to the truck as the sirens started getting louder.

"Val." Karate Kid grumbled back. "Val Armorr. And I am not working for you. My intentions are to follow the masked man, not ''you.'"

Pulling on the bum's arm didn't go as swimmingly as initially thought. For Lobo, it was like pulling on something made out of the heaviest metal available on the planet. As a result, Lobo's trip through the air was brought to a sudden halt as he fell to the ground. The bum glared down at him, got on one knee, made sure he was gripping tightly onto Lobo's arm and rocketed into the sky, bringing the bounty hunter along with it, only to try and hurl him back towards the ground.

Outside, the sounds of sirens got louder and louder, as a police car stopped on the nearby road. A police officer stuck his head out of the window, spotting one of Two-Face's goons. "Is that part of the gang we're supposed to ignore?" He asked whoever was inside the car, and apparently the response was positive, because the car promptly went back the way it came.

Slade rolled his eyes, and without a word, hauled Karate Kid over his shoulder, like a sack of potatoes. At this point, Bucky would see his wounded shoulder, which Slade had been covering up until then, hanging limp by his side. "I will remain in contact, Manfredi. You have my number as well."

"Солдат! Пойдем!"^note  Soldier! Let's go! Slade yelled to Bucky, jumping on top of a car, and then going from there to the roof of a truck, a balcony, a set of stairs and the rooftop, running towards his base without letting go of the Karate Kid.

Two Face's phone rang again, and he picked it up. "Ya, we know, just hold them off, we're on the way out now."

"No, boss, the cops, they left!"

   They....what? That doesn't make any fucking sense!   

"Wait, wait, think about it. This place is owned by the Maggia, right? Maybe the cops saw our guards, and thought that they were part of the Maggia. I guarantee they have something set up with the cops to keep them off their backs. Maybe they thought our men were part of the Maggia."

   HAHAHAHA, morons!   

"Or, our visit with the mayor might have left a strong enough impression that he ordered the cops to leave us alone. Not sure. Regardless, it's time to get out of here. Everyone on the truck!" his goons started getting into the truck.

Bucky tilted his head when he saw the wound on Slade, then immediately followed after him, jumping along as quickly as possible. "You are injured," he said, though not breaking speed as they hurried back towards home. "You should let me carry the intruder."

"That will not be necessary." Slade replied curtly. "My wound will heal itself given eventual time. Focus on the road ahead and not on unnecessary first-aid help."

With Two-Face and his men leaving, Anarky turned towards the Demon, and said:

"Well, creature, the supernatural isn't my business either- as long as it doesn't interfere with my own plans for this city. Let your- mistress know that."

And with that, he (once again) used his boot-jacks to give a prodigious leap upwards, back to the window the had entered the warehouse through.

"Every wound will heal itself given enough time," Bucky answered, a tad shortly. "Why are we taking this...person back with us? He is a liability. Easily tricked and not to your level."

"... there is a kind of potential in him, the kind I saw in you." Slade looked back at Bucky. "When you attacked me, you were not on my level, were you? Now, look at what you can do. Such things can change." He looked back at the road in front of the road. "Perhaps he can learn from you too."

Bucky made a slight sound, and his voice sounded smugly amused when he spoke again. "Well, I have taught him not to trust anyone handing him a grenade, I hope."

Will dived away in the opposite direction as Garfield. He didn’t see his gesture, but came to the same conclusion.

“Blow it away!” Will yelled. He dove into the cover of an alley, but not before the stream of bullets caught up with him. He stumbled forward and supported himself against a wall. Broken knives fell from the inside of his jacket like dead crows, cradling the bullets meant for him. He unzipped his jacket so he wouldn’t get cut, then covered his ears.

Bistro

Terra frowned as she watched what was happening outside and then frowned as Slade carried Karate Kid off.

"Morgan LeFay, take me back!" Terra said, frustrated at what just happened. "No need for the illusion anymore, either."

"That sounds like an enjoyable story." Slade muttered as they arrived on the rooftop near their hideout, jumping down to the ground and going into the back door. "Once you get in, find the first aid kit." He told him as he tapped the entrance code on the hidden keypad, opening the door for the two. "And clean the table so that I can take care of our visitor's wounds."

Morgan Lefay

Morgan Lefay snapped her fingers to end the illusion spell and then opened a portal in front of Tara that would take her current location. even if she had heard everything that happened in the Bistro she couldn't wait to hear Tara talk about it and her plans for Karate Kid and Slade.

Etrigan/Jason Blood

Etrigan could sense something wrong about this Anarchy, some kind of shield that repelled his magical senses. "Wait, who is your mate that shields you from the fields of magic taste?" He tried to ask before Anarchy left but it was too late as he was already gone. "I have to warn my mistress to avoid distress of this adorn scorn" he thought to himself

Etrigan noticed that people were uncomfortable with his demon form and only could look down in shame at himself, he chanted this spell as he returned to his human form "Gone, gone, O Etrigan!. Resume once more the form of man!".

Suddenly a ball of fire engulfed Etrigan as he transformed back into Jason Blood. He feel to the ground exhausted as if he wanted to vomit and said "I hate doing that" he thought to himself. His clothes were torn and the only pieces of clothing left from were his pants that seemed to be shorts due to it's damage.

Jason then took a submachine gun from the floor and attempted to follow Two Face's goons.

"Yes, sir." Bucky was still obviously put out, but he had orders now, and hurried to do as told, running ahead of Slade to grab their kit and get it to the table, picking up Rose as the cat was meowing at him for attention. "Not now, little one," he mumbled, setting her on the floor, then running to what served them as a kitchen table on the rare occasions they had time or energy to sit down for a meal, quickly gathering the variety of papers, components, and weapons sitting on them to move them out of the way.

   Fucking magic    Two Face said from the truck as he saw the demon go back into human form.

"Could be worse. At least he works for us."

   I prefer goons I'm capable of killing. Come on, hurry your ass up   

"But....boss, where's he going to sit?" One of the goons asked. "There's only 3 seats in the truck." Two Face flipped his coin, then shot the goon directly in the head.

   He's going to be in your seat, of course, hahaha!    He pointed to the last surviving goon. "You're driving. Let's go!" The goon got into the driver's seat, not daring to say a word, and Two Face grabbed the dead goons shirt and threw it at Jason. "Put this on, we're not sitting in the truck with you looking like that." Two Face walked to the door and waited for Jason to put it on, then motioned for him to get in the middle seat.

Jason Blood

Jason simply nodded without seemingly caring about two faces' dead goon. Jason simply took the death goon's clothes and sit on the middle seat in where two face told him.

"What's next?" Jason asked Two face.

The truck pulled out and drove away. Two Face motioned for them to stop next to the goons waiting outside. "Grab the cars and meet up back at the courthouse, we're done here." The goons nodded, and the truck left the warehouse. "Now, we go back to the courthouse and count up the loot. Determine it's value, that kind of thing."

   Speaking of value, what the fuck is the deal with the sword? Caused a lot of fucking problems in there.

Back with LeFay

Tara entered through the portal to meet with Morgan LeFay again... Tara crossed her arms looking a bit frustrated.

"I still don't know why Karate Kid wants to be trained by Slade," Tara frowned and crossed her arms. "But Slade did not cause me any harm and Karate Kid didn't want me to come to harm..."

"I think keeping an eye on them will do for now," Tara said, sighing and shrugging.
