Justice Avengers: A Black Day in Hub City

Slade grabbed the cigar, looking at it. "This stuff will kill you." He muttered, taking one and just putting it in between his fingers. "Great joke. Do you have another one or are you just gonna keep using the same one over and over?"

Silvermane took a few puffs from the cigar, shrugging as he tucked the lighter back into his suit pocket.

"Nice thing about getting blown up, they clean out your lungs at night." He said casually. "And I could make a remark about the stupidity of an assassin, whose main job is to not be seen, running around in a faggy orange and black suit. But you've been wearing that for, what, thirty years? So I figured you were attached to it, and nothing I was gonna say would change anything."

"A good assassin cannot be seen even when wearing a bright sign on his chest." Slade chuckled, before heading out of the bistro, putting a hand on Tara's shoulder. "Stay put and stop using your leg if it is wounded." He said, before moving towards Karate Kid.

Silvermane followed Wilson out, and recognized Karate Kid instantly. He snapped a finger, pointing at him.

"Ohhh, right! You were with the girl, too. I threw my car at you, too, I think. Or maybe you were both in the same place. I dunno, all I could pay attention to at the time was that Spider-Cunt. So your name's Karate Kid? Christ."

Two Face, hearing the comotion behind him, turned around.    God damn it, he's not fucking dead yet?   

"That might depend on what definition of dead we're talking about."

   This is not the time to be fucking correcting my grammar!   

"Well, what would you suggest we do then? Hmm? You know a secret way to damage the thing?" He got no response. "That's what I thought. We'll leave this to the demon thing or whatever he is. We have a robbery to finish." Two Face started walking away, pulling out his phone as he did so.    Where the fuck are those trucks!?   

Bistro

"Alright," Terra said to Slade as he and Silvermane left. Once they had left, Terra looked up into the sky.

"Morgan LeFay, could you heal my leg, but just enough so that it only looks bad, but is fine otherwise," Terra finally asked for help from Morgan now that she was alone.

Still hanging from a window, Anarky carefully considered what to do. The thing in the armor turned out not to be human- or at least, not anymore, if it was before. And it seemed bent on killing Two-Face.

Speaking of whom, why was he in Hub City rather than in Gotham? Was he involved in the coming Crime War as well? He was hard to judge given his "condition". Though the boy secretly found him interesting because of it, he was an unusual case study in human nature.

He decided to help the criminal, not with his crime, but to survive, if only so he could learn more about him later. And besides, he was bored. So, the young villain detached a smoke grenade from his belt, and hurled it at the armored monster, hopefully blinding it (and the demon as well) and giving its human targets a chance to escape.

Two Face was still on the phone as Anarky launched his attack.    You have 30 fucking seconds to give me some good goddamn news or else...   

Then the smoke bomb hit. Two Face was far enough away that he wasn't completely blinded, but his vision was still impeded.

"More attackers?"

   Oh, COME ON! Is it too much to ask for a robbery to go off without at least 1 fucking person involving themselves?   

"Apparently."

   Fuck it, kill them! Now!   

"No, we need to get this done and get out of here!" He flipped his coin, then pointed in the general direction of his goons. "Keep working on the boxes!"

"Boss!" The goon on the phone started yelling. "We got a couple of trucks, we're on the way now!"

"Good, hurry up and get here."

Bar

Lobo took a look around the bar and all the patrons aiming guns at him. The Czarnian knew he couldn't take them all, but all the projectiles firing through the air would likely kill the two dweebs who had made the mistake of threatening him. Grinning maniacally, Lobo said "I ain't goin' anywhere 'til the bastiches who threatened the Main Man are dead. Sorry 'bout your bar, but it's 'bout ta get trashed." The very instant Lobo finished his sentence he tugged on his chain with all his might and fired a shotgun blast at the golden man.

Bucky had been a little unsure of it when Karate Kid had put the gun back to the woman's head for him, but he also hadn't questioned it, knowing that he planned to kill the woman anyway. Before he could, though, he was aware of someone coming, and had taken off, disappearing further down the alley at a fast clip.

Once it was clear that it was simply Slade and Silvermane, though, Bucky abruptly dropped down from the fire escape, tucking his pistol back into it's holster and walking over to rejoin Slade without a sound, checking the other man over for injuries, still having one of the sais from his attacker embedded in his metal arm.

Etrigan

Etrigan was very angry by the fact that he was forced to become the demon he hated so much and his very upset with his inability to harm the golden man at all, so was the price of his atonement. The moment he was blinded he screamed in anger and finally he tried to talk towards the golden man in an attempt to negotiate.

"Give me the sword, and take my word , you will get a reward and hoard plenty. Name your prize and you won't get chastise" the demon said in the middle of the smoke.

Morgan Lefay

If she had been paying attention or if she cared a little more she would have noticed an smoke grenade coming out of nowhere to blind her servant. But she was paying most of her attention to Tara and the moment she asked her to be healed she whispered some inaudible words and casted two spells towards Tara, using her crystal ball to focus her magic.

If the spells worked as intended. One would heal her leg as if nothing happened and the other one would put an illusion charm on it to make it appear as if it was still hurt.

She choose not to say anything, but she did saw with great pride the actions of Terra.

Bistro

Terra looked at her leg. It didn't look healed, but it did feel better so she touched the wound and felt nothing but skin.

"Thanks," Terra smiled and waited.

Garfield sighed as the Flamingo was clearly not the easy target he was hoping for. He was still contemplating using the grenade but was still willing to try making this ridiculous assassin give in.

“It is unfortunate you feel that way.” Will said, using the reflected view to come up with a plan.

“On my signal.” He whispered to Garfield. He reached up to his own face, fingers trembling like a plucked string, before closing down on a piece of glass and ripping it out. The pain cleared his sight, sharpened the lines on the surrounding buildings, and caused the laser sight to burn bright enough to cut into the concrete.

“I suppose that means we’ll take our—” Mid-sentence, hoping to catch him off-guard, Will reached his knife up to intercept the sniper’s laser sight, and with a sharp turn of his wrist, turned the knife to reflect the laser sight across and into Flamingo’s eyes. At the same moment he did that, he pumped his elbow down to signal Garfield to attack.

As Flamingo was temporarily blinded, Garfield quickly moved out from behind the wall while drawing his gun, aimed and shot at the Flamingo, still crouching low and ready to move back behind cover.

Karate Kid, who was laying on the street recovering his breath, raggedly jumped back into a stance when he saw Silvermane. "You!" He practically announced, clenching his fists. "I seek no quarrel with you! I just want to—" He immediately doubled over, hitting the ground as he covered his slashed chest, groaning. And to top it all off, the first signs of rain started falling over the people on the street.

"Oh, it is indeed a shame." The Flamingo yelled from his window, tutting. "Things are going to get rough for people like you, out on the street. So why don't you take your friend and board a plane to some backwater country, like, I don't know, Engl—"

A shot rang out through the air, piercing the piece of glass as Flamingo was blinded. "Niho de uña put—" He began, before falling back into his home, forced by fire from Garfield's gun. And then, as if the universe was laughing at the two debt collectors on the street, Flamingo unveiled his next weapon.

A military grade Negev◊, which Flamingo promptly used to pray and spray the area where Will and Garfield were hiding in.

The golden armored man dropped his sword, and the armor promptly disappeared, leaving behind a skeleton wearing the clothes of the goon, mounds of cash leaking from his filled backpack as the sword rested on the ground, glimmering.

And to top it all off, the sound of sirens could be heard coming from far away.

The shots hit the golden man, who stumbled back, looking down at his chest as the bullets fell down to the ground one by one, molten into tiny little balls. The golden man looked up at Lobo with a grin whilst everyone at the bar did the same. Silence... then chaos. Bullets, lasers, beams, everything started flying around. Villains flew through the walls and the ceiling, some trying to escape, some being flung by the power of the explosions.

But in the confusion, Lobo would clearly see the skull-wearing man pulling out a machine gun and spraying Lobo's general direction with bullets, as the downtrodden bum suddenly sped off towards Lobo, aiming to grab him by the vest, throw him in the direction of the bullets, and then leave the finishing move for the golden man, whose hands were covered in giant balls of fire.

Silvermane held out a hand into the rain and sighed. Of course it starts raining as soon as he wanted to light up, he thought, as he threw the cigar into the nearest trash can. He looked at Karate Kid and rolled his eyes as he helped Karate Kid to his feet.

"Why does everyone want to fight all the time? You're not bothering one of my businesses right now, so, whatever." He turned to Slade, trying to support Kid so that he wasn't putting pressure in the cut on his chest. "Well, he wants to be your sidekick. Guess you gotta patch him up. How far's your place?"

The truck Two Face's goons had secured pulled into the loading dock as the sirens became audible.

"Ok, forget the rest, grab what we got at the dock, load it into the truck, and let's move!"

   Do it quick, dumbasses, we ain't springing your asses if you get caught by the cops for being slowpokes!    Two Face then turned to the clearing smoke, gun up and aimed at the newcomer. "Now then. Who are you, and why are you here?"

Etrigan

The demon couldn't negotiate with the skeleton and as he suspected he was already death. He took the golden sword and put it on his belt while ignoring all the money as if it was more worthless than rocks.He could see the sword mostly thanks to his afinity to magic, and then kneeled towards two face saying " My master is there an where or anyway I can serve you faster?. In truth he could't wait to show the sword to his Mistress.But he was willing to serve Two Face if he asked him.

Anarky watched the "knight" collapse, and concluded he probably had been the victim of some terrible magic. Which meant that the demonic thing probably was really a demon too. He should discuss this with Xanadu, ASAP.

Then Two-Face called him up.

"My name is Anarky" the cloaked figure responded. "And let's just say, I was doing a good deed, protecting people from monsters, you know? Oh and by the way, shouldn't you be more concerned with fish-face there? He still looks angry..."

But then, to his surprise, the thing spoke- and in rhyme, to booth! And who is this master it mentioned? There was definitely something important going on here...

Slade remained on the back of the group, simply watching all of them, but when Bucky walked over to him, his eyes snapped towards the sai embedded on his arm. He motioned towards it, like a parent pointing at a bit of food left in his child's mouth, and then made a slowly motion before going completely silent. Bucky would know how to deal with the problem.

"A couple of miles if we use the rooftops." He said, walking over to Karate Kid, his hands roaming over his shoulder before pressing a point near the joint connecting it and the arms, aiming to ease the blood flow and the pain. "I can take care of my own strays, Manfredi." He joked, before pulling his friend closer. " Although I am not sure if he should follow in my footsteps. I will hear what the Winter Soldier has to say on the subject... but if he shows potential, I will point him towards you. You may not admit it, Manfredi, but you have you own strays too. Such is the behavior of people like us."

Silvermane rolled his eyes. Of course. Bad enough his bleeding heart made him hire one down-on-lucker, now Wilson was going to dump another one on him. And this one didn't even like him.

"Well, if he works for me, He's gonna have an actual fucking name. You got a name, kid?"

Bar

Lobo smirked as he felt a multitude of projectiles rip through his flesh. He'd probably feel most of his wounds in the morning, but for now, The Main Man was in his element.

After deducing that the golden bastich seemed to be able to melt metals, Lobo had the bright idea to try hitting him with a table or something. Unfortunately, this was interrupted by the bum tossing Lobo into a hail of bullets. As he left the bum's grip, Lobo reached out and attempted to grab hold of the man's arm with the intention of ripping it from its socket.

Etrigan

"Fear not for I wear and serve with great nerve my master and my mistress, there is no need to distress for that reason, to fight treason, I was breed." the demon said to Anarky while he was still kneeling towards Two Face.

Garfield quickly dived behind another wall as the bullets started to grind up the pavement. He pulled out the grenade again and looked at Will while pointing to it, asking for permission.
