To be honest there's less than a year left and we still don't a trailer, official images, or updates on production. As months go by, I'm seeing less effort being put into the film and more of FOX going "Noo! Marvel Studios will never have the rights back! MINEMINEMINE! It's ours to do as we please! OURS! OUUUURRRSSSS!".

> Let's make our next Marvel Movie as GRIM 'N GRITTY REALISTIC SEE WE'RE SERIOUS AND DARK AND WE AIN'T LIKE SOME STUPID COMICBOOK as we can.
> While we're doing it, Marvel Studios' next hit has a talking raccoon and talking duck in it.
L-O-L.
I actually don't think Fox is permanently welded to the grim-and-gritty aesthetic as much as WB is. In this case, its just a side effect of making the top three virtues of the reboot "cheap", "cheap", and "cheap".
Home of CBR Rumbles-in-Exile: rumbles.fr.yuku.comThey made it cheap so it would meet it's budget at the box office, so they have a excuse for a sequel.

Lemster: And thus keeping such fun villainous characters as the Skrulls, Galactus, and Doctor Doom out of the MCU. : P
I'd KILL to see the Avengers fight Doctor Doom and Galactus in the MCU. They're one of the biggest components of the Marvel universe.
And the limitations gave us the Guardians of the Galaxy, I feel it's not a bad thing that ever Marvel Comic character is not in the hands of Marvel Studios.
It's a double-edged knife. On one hand these limitations gave us Guardians Of The Galaxy in the other it blocks us from seeing some of the most mythic and legendary comic book characters used to their full potential (such as Galactus and Doctor Doom).
"All you Fascists bound to lose."MCU could doubtlessly do the RICHAAAAAAAAAARRRDS/Doom rivalry well (and better than anyone else currently in the biz), but I don't really care about that. What I -would- care about is an adaptation of the Doom/Strange team-up where they rescue the former's mom from Hell.
I see Galactus as too much a Force of Nature than an actual villain.
Which would be a nice addition to the MCU, since they haven't faced an actual living force of nature yet.
I don't know about that, Thanos is clearly being built-up to be a pretty badass "I'm gonna wreck everbody's shit" type of villain.
Every time I see Thanos I hear "I'm gonna wreck all yo' shit and you can't stop me because I'm a big purple badass"
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the Great...how is that different from Galactus? He's a big purple guy too.

Not Three Laws compliant.Yeah, but Thanos is this guy who is an actual villain, just on a cosmic scale.
Galactus is a true force of nature in that there's no actual perversity, malice or killer purpose on him, he just goes around eating the worlds of beings who genuinely feel like ants to him to survive. That's what I'm talking about.
Fighting Galactus would be like having a tornado as a villain.
Which would make it hilarious if they made it cheap as possible and it still bombed in theaters and failed to turn a profit.
No, it would be tragic, because we get a new take on the Four, and nobody watches it because the stink of Rise of the Silver Surfer killed it for everyone.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatWhen it comes to adaptations Galactus gets the same kind of treatment as Darkseid, in that adaptations play him as being a very textbook, straight-up villain a lot when he's more than that. It bugs me a bit, because both of them are a lot less interesting when made to be that way, especially Galactus (who is otherwise a Generic Doomsday Villain).

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Galactus is a force of nature, I think, but he's manifested in physical human-like form. That makes a little less like a tornado and more like a Tornado Man (if that makes any sense.)
But we're talking about the substance under the form.
But this is a tornado you can punch in the face. Everyone wants to feel like they can fight the unfightable. That's part of why comic books are enjoyable. It's nice to think that heroes can fight against the cosmos itself to protect humanity.
No you can't. Galactus won't even feel that punch, he'll just vaporize you before you can get within fifty feet of his eyeballs.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the Great
By the lack of discussion, I can tell no one is interested in the reboot.
Can't say I'm surprised though.
